Best Western Plus Executive Residency Bronx Introduce
The Best Western Plus Executive Residency Bronx, located at 500 E 185th St, Bronx, NY 10458, USA, serves as a lodging option in the vibrant borough of the Bronx. With contact available at (929) 604-4800 or +1 929-604-4800, this hotel aims to provide accommodation for travelers. As a hotel, its categorization as a "Scenic Spot" on a platform implies its role as a destination or a base from which to explore the surrounding area, rather than being a scenic attraction in itself. It provides essential services and goods (lodging, amenities) to its guests, positioning itself as a convenient option for visitors to the Bronx.
The environment of the Best Western Plus Executive Residency Bronx is that of an urban hotel. It is situated in the West Bronx district, a lively area with a mix of residential and commercial properties. The immediate surroundings are characteristic of a bustling New York City neighborhood. While the hotel brand "Executive Residency" often emphasizes a "home away from home" feel with features like kitchenettes and dedicated zones for sleeping, dining, work, and relaxation, the external environment is distinctly urban. Reviews from real customers indicate that the area can be quite active, particularly on weekends, with reports of "music bumping until early morning" and "people leaving and screaming on street," suggesting a potentially loud atmosphere. This indicates that guests should anticipate an urban soundscape rather than a tranquil, secluded environment. Despite the potential for noise, the hotel's location offers proximity to several significant Bronx landmarks and attractions, which forms a key part of its appeal.
In terms of services and features, the Best Western Plus Executive Residency Bronx offers a range of amenities typically found in a contemporary hotel. These services are the "goods for sale" that define its offering as a "Scenic Spot" or accommodation provider:
- Accommodation: The hotel features 88 air-conditioned rooms, including standard rooms and suites. Some rooms, particularly the Executive Residency suites, are designed for longer stays and may include kitchenettes with microwaves, refrigerators, coffee/tea makers, and sometimes stovetops, dishwashers, and toasters, offering guests the convenience of preparing their own meals. Rooms also come with flat-screen TVs with cable channels, free in-room WiFi, and laptop-friendly workspaces. Free cribs/infant beds are available on request, catering to families.

- Laundry Facilities: On-site laundry facilities are provided, which is particularly beneficial for extended stays.
- 24-Hour Front Desk: The hotel offers a 24-hour front desk service for guest assistance, check-in/check-out, and other inquiries.

- Convenience Store/Vending Machine: A grocery/convenience store and vending machines are available on-site for quick purchases.
- Accessibility: The hotel aims to be accessible, offering wheelchair-accessible rooms and an elevator/lift.
- Security: Guests can find a front-desk safe for valuables.
Customer reviews highlight some specific experiences regarding the hotel's services. One reviewer noted an issue with room reservation, where a reserved room with a bed and sofa was not provided, and the only alternative was a fold-up cot, leading to dissatisfaction with staff professionalism and inconsideration. Another significant concern raised by multiple reviewers is the noise level, describing the hotel as "loud" and "the opposite of a peaceful night of sleep" due to external street noise and thin walls that allow sound from adjacent rooms (e.g., TV noise) to be easily heard.
The features of the Best Western Plus Executive Residency Bronx are tailored to offer a comfortable and functional stay, especially for guests who might be looking for extended stay options due to the kitchenette availability in some suites. The hotel's relatively new construction (built in 2019) suggests modern facilities and room designs. Its proximity to major Bronx attractions is a key feature. Fordham University is an 8-minute walk away (0.5 miles), making it convenient for visitors to the university. The Bronx Zoo and the New York Botanical Garden are both approximately a 14-minute walk (0.8 miles). Yankee Stadium is also within a short driving distance, about a 5-minute drive (2.7 miles). Other nearby points of interest include Little Italy in the Bronx (Arthur Avenue), the Edgar Allan Poe Cottage, and St. Barnabas Hospital. This strategic location allows guests to access many of the Bronx's "Scenic Spot" attractions with relative ease, despite the hotel itself not being a scenic landmark.
Promotional information for the Best Western Plus Executive Residency Bronx typically highlights its brand standards, modern amenities, and strategic location within the Bronx. Best Western's "Executive Residency" brand focuses on offering "stylish comforts and affordable home-away-from-home extras" designed for longer stays, emphasizing amenities like kitchenettes and dedicated zones for living and working. They also promote the ability to earn and redeem Best Western Rewards® points. The hotel's proximity to major attractions like Fordham University, the Bronx Zoo, and the New York Botanical Garden is a significant promotional point, appealing to a variety of travelers, including those visiting family, attending university events, or exploring the borough's cultural and natural landmarks. While the official promotions emphasize comfort and convenience, potential guests should also consider the aforementioned customer feedback regarding noise levels and customer service to form a complete picture of the experience.
In summary, the Best Western Plus Executive Residency Bronx functions as an urban hotel providing lodging services and related amenities. Its environment is that of a bustling city neighborhood, with potential noise concerns noted by guests. Its features include a range of room types, some with kitchenettes suitable for extended stays, along with a fitness center, business center, and on-site laundry. The hotel's main "Scenic Spot" appeal lies in its strategic location, offering convenient access to significant Bronx attractions such as Fordham University, the Bronx Zoo, and the New York Botanical Garden. Promotional efforts emphasize its modern facilities and location, catering to both short-term visitors and those seeking extended stays in the Bronx.

Best Western Plus Executive Residency Bronx Reviews
You won't sleep.....loud!!! On weekend like sleeping in the back room of a club. Music bumping until early morning! People leaving and screaming on street. Walls are paper thin. Room next door turned on TV overnight and sounded like was in my room. The opposite of a peace night of sleep. Location nit great either. Find another place.
Feb 02, 2025 · Aaron WilkI usually don't write reviews, but this hotel or employees are unprofessional and inconsiderate. I took my son to NYC because he always wanted to go and also to see family. I chose this hotel because it was newly built and I thought it would be a great experience. We I got there. They took forever to find my reservation. Then I reserved a room that was supposed to have a bed and a sofa. The room I got didn't have the sofa, so where do I or my son sleep? The only solution they had was a fold up cot. I will continue to visit New York but will never stay there .
May 23, 2023 · Tyrone JacksonMy stay was for 5 nights. Everything was awesome, yea faced a little parking problem on the weekend and i realized its nyc, but the night shift manager was an amazing guy, he helped us back and fourth for the parking and everything. There breakfast service was wonderful. my whole family loved it and we would for sure stay there again.
Jun 17, 2022 · Dhruv TaraClean and comfortable hotel. Breakfast is included daily, but i never go;cause wake up close to check-out time. I recently forgot my charger there and had a uber pick it up for. It was pouring rain, lighting and thunder outside andNick at front desk was very helpful and kind enough to take it outside to the driver. Individulas like this the world needs more of and deserves to be in management positions. Thanks again Nick! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Jul 21, 2022 · Jerome AquanThe rudest front desk clerk Ive ever had the bad luck to encounter. Gave us attitude, wanted to over charge us and refused to honored the diamond club priviledged. I always stay at Best Western's hotels but this is not the first time that a staff tries to enforce their own made up rules! Getting really tired of that! BW: you need to get your people in line or I wont be the only one to think about bringing my business to another hotel chain. Loyalty works both ways!
