As a hotel catering to local users within a "Scenic Spot" platform category, it aims to provide accommodation services. While the direct category might suggest a focus on leisure and tourism, its location near Fordham University and St. Barnabas Hospital also implies a clientele seeking proximity to these institutions, perhaps for academic visits, medical appointments, or visiting loved ones.

Room amenities commonly found include complimentary wireless internet access, ensuring guests can stay connected. Other conveniences typically offered are irons/ironing boards and phones with free local calls, which can be useful for both business and personal needs. It is situated within a 5-minute drive of prominent institutions such as Fordham University and the New York Botanical Garden. For those interested in wildlife, the Bronx Zoo is also approximately a 15-minute walk away. Other nearby attractions include the Arthur Avenue Retail Market, often referred to as "Little Italy in the Bronx," which is a vibrant area known for its specialty food shops and restaurants. This market is a short distance from the hotel, providing opportunities for guests to explore local culinary delights and experience a unique cultural atmosphere. Transportation options include subway stations like 182nd–183rd Streets Station and Tremont Avenue Station, which are within walking distance, making it possible for guests to navigate the city. Yankee Stadium, a significant sports venue, is approximately 3.8 km away, which might appeal to sports enthusiasts.
When considering the hotel's features and services, it's essential to present a balanced view, incorporating feedback from real customers. While the hotel aims to provide fundamental amenities such as free Wi-Fi, a 24-hour front desk, and housekeeping services, past guest experiences indicate certain challenges. Some reviews highlight significant concerns regarding cleanliness, with mentions of dirty sheets, pillowcases, walls, and issues with toilet functionality. There have also been reports of incorrect room assignments (e.g., receiving a twin bed after paying for a queen) and general unsanitary conditions, including the presence of dirty diapers outside windows and remnants of feces. Structural issues like missing smoke alarms and a pervasive smoke smell in a non-smoking building have also been noted. Customer service experiences have been mixed, with some guests reporting rude interactions when addressing issues like dirty rooms or plumbing problems. These factors suggest that while the hotel provides basic accommodation, there have been inconsistencies in its delivery of a clean and comfortable environment and responsive guest services.
For potential guests considering Hotel Ninety Five Fordham / St. Barnabas Hospital, especially those looking for a temporary stay to avoid situations like drunk driving, or those needing proximity to St. Barnabas Hospital or Fordham University, it's important to set realistic expectations based on available information. The hotel offers a basic place to sleep with essential amenities like air conditioning and free Wi-Fi. However, guests should be aware of the reported issues regarding cleanliness and service.
Promotional information, based on the objective assessment of available data, would highlight the hotel's convenient location for accessing key Bronx attractions and institutions. Its affordability might be a draw for budget-conscious travelers. For example, it could be promoted as: "Conveniently located near Fordham University, the Bronx Zoo, and St. Barnabas Hospital, Hotel Ninety Five Fordham / St. Barnabas Hospital offers basic, affordable accommodation for visitors to the Bronx. Enjoy easy access to local transit and attractions, with essential amenities like free Wi-Fi." However, any promotional message should be carefully crafted to avoid misrepresenting the guest experience, given the significant negative feedback regarding cleanliness and maintenance. The hotel's appeal may primarily lie in its strategic location for specific purposes, such as medical visits or academic engagements, rather than as a leisure destination in itself, particularly for users seeking a pristine "Scenic Spot" experience typically associated with high standards of environment and service.

Hotel Ninety Five Fordham / St. Barnabas Hospital Reviews
If I can rate this hotel below a one I absolutely would!!! DO NOT STAY HERE. First when we arrived the sheets were dirty along with the pillow cases, I nicely went downstairs and asked if they can be changed he changed them the house keeper was very RUDE!!! while changing them not a problem. I use the restroom the toilet never flushed just over filled everywhere I run downstairs to inform him he tells me i’m asking for to much !! excuse me! he tells me to check out if I don’t like it after I already paid with no refund… I will never come here again walls filthy ! nobody sweeps because it was weed left in the room just horrible.
Aug 31, 2022 · lauryn RhyneThe room is overall filthy. I paid for a queen bed, only to be told after checking in a going to a room with a twin bed. There are dirty diapers outside my window. The walls are dirty. There is not a closet in this room. There was reminisce of feces on the toilet bowl and wall adject to it. The smoke alarm has been removed. Smoke smell throughout the building even though it's suppose to be smoke free. The bathroom looks acceptable. I contacted priceline to amend my reservation because I cannot stay here for the three nights planned. I would.not recommend this hotel to anyone, unless you are in search of a place to sleep to avoid drunk driving.
Jun 02, 2022 · Gil ThomasSurprised by the welcoming exterior. Clearly a bargain hotel but it fulfilled my need perfectly. Elevator large and efficient. Rooms were basic and not cared for much. Bathroom shower had a broken handle but worked. At least the heat/AC worked. Very convenient location but Only if you already are familiar with the area
Oct 16, 2022 · Mok SwaggerIt's decent for the money. They only have rooms with one bed in it so book 2 rooms if you have more than 2 people with you. The rooms aren't standard size hotel rooms, they're actually pretty small. Some rooms have smells in them, check your sheets and also the heating/air conditioning unit doesn't work in all rooms. The staff there however, is nice and accommodating if you need extra sheets, towels etc. The ice machine is on the first floor and it's always stocked. Use plastic when getting ice in the container as so.e of them weren't completely clean. Other than that, they have lotion, soap and conditioner in abundance in the bathroom and the showers were nice and hot.
May 06, 2021 · No OneRooms are VERY SMALL. The queen bed was a twin. I have a queen at home and the staff said I was wrong. The lobby was dirty, the wallpaper is peeling in the hallways, the walls are thin, the elevator takes FOREVER the open and close the doors, they only give 1 towel even though I booked a room for multiple people, room didn't look cleaned. Don't stay here. Also they do not give any free soaps or toothpaste.
