Heritage Hotel New York City Introduce
For those of us who call New York City home, the idea of a hotel stay might seem counterintuitive, but whether it’s for a well-deserved staycation, accommodating out-of-town guests, or simply needing a convenient base for a busy week, a reliable and well-located hotel is a true asset. The Heritage Hotel New York City, nestled in the vibrant Flatiron District, presents itself as a fantastic option that perfectly blends comfort, value, and an unbeatable location. This isn't a five-star luxury resort, and it doesn't pretend to be; instead, it offers a genuinely pleasant and practical experience that often exceeds expectations for its price point. Let’s dive into what makes this hotel a smart choice for New Yorkers and their visitors.
As many savvy travelers and locals understand, finding a hotel that delivers on its promises without breaking the bank is a win in New York City. The Heritage Hotel consistently earns praise for being "exactly as I hoped it would be," particularly from guests who appreciate value for money. It's a hotel that understands its niche: providing clean, safe, and comfortable basics in a prime location. Reviewers frequently highlight the exceptional friendliness of the front desk staff, who are noted for being "super friendly and gave us all the information we needed," no matter the time of day or night. This welcoming atmosphere creates a pleasant first impression and continues throughout the stay, making guests feel "very nice" each time they enter or leave.
The rooms, while reflecting the efficient use of space common in NYC, are consistently described as clean and equipped with essential amenities. While a "king room seemed to be set up for one person" with single amenities like a stool or luggage rack, and bathrooms might feel "very European" in their compact design, the presence of a refrigerator is a highly appreciated convenience. Guests acknowledge that views out the window might be of another building, but as true New Yorkers know, you're "not here to stay in my room" – the city itself is the view. While some minor improvements like soft-close doors or more hooks for coats could enhance the experience, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive. Many would "be happy to stay here if I was traveling solo" and would "recommend the Heritage Hotel to any of our friends and family traveling to NYC" thanks to its "great price and great location."

Heritage Hotel New York City Reviews
This is a great hotel. Exactly as I hoped it would be. It’s so sad that people book a budget hotel and then give it bad reviews because it’s not the ritz.We stayed 4 nights in a king room, no view out window but it’s NYC I’m not here to stay in my room.Front desk check-in was super friendly and gave us all the information we needed. The front desk people were always very nice as we came in and left no matter how late at night. I would be happy to stay here if I was traveling solo.Room was clean and had the basics. It feels very European in that the bathroom is small. Refrigerator was helpful to have. King room seemed to be set up for one person, only one stool and one luggage rack.Walls are thin, you can hear doors closing and people talking, luckily everyone was quiet at night and the hallway is broken up so you only hear a few rooms.Suggested improvements - Add soft close to the main hallway doors so they do not bang shut all night. hooks on walls for coats. provide two luggage racks per room. second stool in king rooms. When checking in let people know they can use the shared dining room, we didn’t discover it until later and would have brought to go food back to eat if we had known of it.
May 26, 2025 · Aileen TaylorThe Heritage Hotel beat all of our expectations, great price and great location. It was clean, safe and the staff were great. I will recommend the Heritage Hotel to any of our friends and family traveling to NYC.
May 27, 2025 · Jeff PageHeritage Hotel exceeded all my expectations with rooms larger than average, spacious bathroom, comfy mattresses, fridge in your room, amazing hot shower with fantastic water pressure. The staff were all lovely and the neighbourhood is very safe. There is a CVS and Fairway on the end of the block on 6th Ave which was handy for water, beverages and snacks. Our room had no view but some facing the street can see the ESB.Would happily recommend to anyone visiting NY and wants a well placed hotel in Flatiron.
May 26, 2025 · Audrey DooceyGood location. Amazing, friendly, super helpful staff. My daughter left her favourite stuffie behind and the staff was so helpful in finding it and ensuring its safe arrival home. The rooms are tight, but we were only there to sleep. Comfy beds. Fairly clean, although the rooms would benefit from a refresh.
Dec 25, 2024 · Kristin SpinaWe stayed in the family suite which is a nice affordable option when you need two rooms in Manhattan. It saved us around $1500 for 4 nights. The staff is as friendly as reviews say. The pictures of breakfast should be ignored, because it seems that’s not a thing anymore. Although the room with tables is good for having a late night snack or heating up leftovers. If you don’t want to spend too much at one of the local coffee shops, go down to Fairway Market. They have plenty of pastries and regular coffee for a lot less than you pay anywhere else.Beds are fine and the room was clean plus we had a nice view of the top of the Empire State. Also a note to travelers, using Curb to get a taxi was inconsistent in front of the hotel. We found it easier to go to 5th Ave or 6th Ave depending on our destination and hailing a cab.One last thing, Google maps recommends the 26th St subway entrance most times. The 23rd St entrance is closer which is helpful when it’s raining.Note to the hotel: In the family suite, add more hooks. With more than two people likely staying in there, having more places for hanging towels is a cheap and appreciated upgrade. Also knowing how many people may be using the one bathroom, add a couple of extra roles of TP under the sink.I didn’t mind coming down to replace towels, but some of the towels smell like mothballs. Not sure if they are in storage somewhere, but maybe something could be down to keep them fresher.
