Hilton Brooklyn New York Reviews
This Hilton property is not was it advertised. We paid extra for access to a “Hospitality Suite”. Their Hospitality Suite changed locations to the Breakfast Bar room. The “ Black Walnut” restaurant doesn’t exist anymore either. You get seated in the Bar area right off the Lobby. The former restaurant location still exists- you can only eat breakfast there. If we can eat breakfast in the Black Walnut restaurant, why not serve the dinner there as well? It’s a far superior atmosphere. There is also no Room Service. But the staff was very prompt when our TV remote and iron needed repair. Maid service also very good. Just don’t pay up for the King Executive room- you will be disappointed. I’d go elsewhere for dinner meals too. This was a special trip for us as our son was graduating from law school…the wrong time to be disappointed with our lodging.
May 29, 2025 · Norma HaleThe Hilton Brooklyn was hands down incredible! The front desk team? Absolute stars — friendly, helpful, and made me feel totally taken care of. The rooms were clean, comfy, and just what I needed. But let’s talk about the real MVP: THE CHEF. Oh. My. Goodness. I never eat at hotel restaurants, but this one blew me away. The food was so good, I’m still dreaming about it. He deserves a medal!
Apr 15, 2025 · Bria ParkerDidn’t really care for this hotel. Came for work and from the pictures and reviews decided to stay here as well as some colleagues. Because of a delayed flight I arrive late and upon check in was not greeted just asked if I was checking in, the person at the desk was not polite whatsoever. Stayed for a number of days and the staff rarely greeted you when you entered the hotel.Did not care for the room. Room made me feel like this hotel was once a motel. My room had a strong stench and it was clear from the pictures and my colleagues room we all had different rooms. Mine had a very dated tub and not a walk in shower. The furniture felt dingy and tables were badly scratched up. My colleagues had a full body mirror that I did not have in my room and I was placed in a room that had a door connecting to another room. Overall was a mid experience and was not the most comfortable stay I had hoped for. Won’t be returning to this hotel on my next trip.
May 16, 2025 · Courtney BThe location is great - near plenty of restaurants and transportation options. Sometimes the breakfast area is running a little slow. The bar is always busy in the evenings. Overall a great stay and decent value for money considering NYC hotel prices.
May 11, 2025 · Francis SStayed at the hotel for one evening on a business trip. The hotel is very close to a subway station so you can easily walk to the hotel. I checked in during evening hours and I liked that the front entrance was easy to access and well lit - after a certain time only guests with a room key can enter the front doors. The bar/restaurant have last kitchen call at 9:45 pm so I missed eating in the lobby restaurant. Easy to check in and my Hilton status was acknowledged. There is a $35 hotel fee added to bill (even though my room was prepaid). The hotel was quiet in the evening on a Friday night. The hotel lobby notes recent and ongoing renovation and it is noticeable in the entrance to the rooms. The rooms are a bit older but clean. The lighting is a little dim even when I turned on all of the lamps in the room. Everything worked in the room and the shower had great water pressure. The AC/heating does hum when turning on and off. I had breakfast in the lobby restaurant which offers a buffet for $30 and a la carte options.
