Hilton Garden Inn Long Island City New York Reviews
At first glance the interior of the hotel was lovely— a shiny bar, modern lounging areas, and an overall clean aesthetic. Upon arrival, the receptionist was helpful and efficient giving us our keys and even assisted us with a room upgrade. From that moment on the rest of the stay would be mediocre at best. Once checked into our room, a strong urine odor came from the restroom. We made attempts to deodorize the restroom, however, the looming smell never quite went away. We noticed that we were given 2 bath towels for a 2 double bed suite. Over the next four days we would play a game of “to shower or not to shower?” as we were given multiple promises that clean towels were arriving. Occasionally, our requests were met with some hostility from the staff despite asking politely. At one point we were told that there was a “shortage” and a “wait list” for more. I’ve never heard of such exclusively for a basic item before. To give a little grace, we did receive a few more towels, but compromised by having to share throughout the stay. Overall, I would not highly recommend this hotel and would encourage visitors to prepare for a stay with subpar service.
May 28, 2025 · olivia deanGreat place to stay at. Located amazingly convenient close to several subway lines that bring you to Manhattan in under 15 minutes. The windows are great, there is no sound from the outside which is very important in a city like New York ;-) The only little negative thing are the very light walls, you can hear quite well what is happening in the hallway or next door. For a trip to NYC this is the perfect hotel
May 10, 2025 · KaiI recently stayed here for twelve nights and I cannot fault the hotel. Wesley on the front desk was always friendly and welcoming as we’re all of the front desk staff. I liked the self scan for the pantry. It made it so much easier to spend the $20 Diamond member credit knowing exactly how much you were spending without the need to bother the hotel staff when they were busy. I hope all Hilton hotels install this feature. The rooms are comfortable and clean. My only negative comment would be that I had a room with a connecting door and I could hear every word said coming from the room next door.It was almost like we were sitting in the same room. If you like it quite definitely ask for a room without a connecting door.I will definitely stay here on my next visit to New York later this year.
Feb 06, 2025 · Lee McIntoshHad a great stay here. Room was decently sized and comfortable. All staff I interacted with was very friendly. Room had a microwave and fridge which is always a huge plus in NYC. It was my first time staying in LIC and I really enjoyed it. The area was peaceful with plenty of food and drink spots around. Subway was around the corner and it was a quick 10 minute ride to Manhattan. Tried out the hotel restaurant for dinner one night and it was alright. Had the garden burger which tasted good but was a little dry. Still it would eat there again if I didn’t want to brave the weather. Overall enjoyed my stay and wouldn’t hesitate to stay at this location again.
Feb 25, 2025 · dulce112897DO NOT STAY HERE. On March 5, 2025, we booked one night at Hilton Garden Inn Long Island City because we had an early morning flight. All we wanted was a quiet night’s rest. Instead, we got one of the worst hotel experiences of our lives. The room was EXTREMELY NOISY – nonstop subway noise through the night. Impossible to sleep. We barely stayed three hours, didn’t even touch the room much, and were woken up repeatedly by the unbearable noise. We immediately decided to check out in the middle of the night and requested a refund. We contacted both the front desk and Booking.com.The next morning, we followed up again by phone. The hotel staff (possibly someone named Wesley) promised a refund. But guess what? That refund never came. We waited patiently. Nothing. So I disputed the charge with my bank. And then, to our shock, the hotel had the audacity to LIE to the bank. They completely denied we had ever complained about the noise, and even falsified our check-out time to cover their tracks. This is outright FRAUD.I demand the hotel release surveillance footage showing when we left, and I demand they provide evidence of our multiple refund requests and complaints. Don’t think for a second you can get away with deceiving your guests, silencing complaints, and forging records. Is this how Hilton operates? Hiding noise issues, lying to customers, falsifying check-out times, refusing refunds that were verbally confirmed? This is disgusting behavior and a total disgrace to the Hilton brand. Shame on you.If this isn’t resolved immediately, I will make sure this story is shared on every platform possible. I will not stop until the truth is exposed. Consider this your final warning.
