Hotel Belleclaire Reviews
The only reason it’s not a 5 star is because of the noise traveling from other rooms. Otherwise, the rooms were clean, comfortable and they have the best showers! The staff make you feel at home, give you tips where to eat (Thank you Benedict!) and even have wine night! I would definitely stay here again. And the concierge guys helped us get cabs, navigate the subway, directed our way through the streets and never steered us wrong.
May 27, 2025 · Audra CarterI agree with other people below saying this hotel is a mess. The only thing I like about this hotel were the food vouchers for the cafe downstairs. The food at the cafe was actually pretty good. The rest of the service was not good or at least not how they picture it on Expedia . The SHOWER WAS GROSS AND TILES WERE DIRTY, the shower didn’t even have a sliding door to shut while showering. You could tell that shower had not been scrubbed in a while, with dirt and grime all in between the corners. Another issue is I had to ask for body wash because the dispensers were empty and when I did receive them after calling front desk they were tiny little bottles of body wash. The Allure part of the hotel downstairs turns into one loud ass lounge after certain hours. You can hear everything from the next door rooms , including the showers being turned on and off the whole morning. And the last issue which I was the most upset about is the Porter offered to have a yellow taxi take me to LGA airport for $60 .. this cab took the longest way to LGA !!!!! Went all through Harlem and all the street lights in between and almost made me late to my flight!!! When he dropped me off he said it would be $92 !!! I had no option but to pay. My advice would be to book your Uber or Lyft and do not take the offer of any porter or concierge at the door offering any kind of ride to the airport. THEY WILL SCAM YOU !!The hotel also charges a “ resort fee” for what??? This experience is far from a luxurious one. Please stay somewhere else ! I’ve stayed in other hotels in NYC and in comparison this hotel gets 2 star rating
Apr 24, 2025 · BeckaExcellent Stay at Hotel Belleclaire!I had a wonderful experience at Hotel Belleclaire. The location is absolutely perfect—just a few steps away from the 1 subway line, which connects you to all the major tourist spots (and even the lesser-known gems) around Manhattan. You're also just a short walk from Central Park, ideal for a relaxing stroll or to kick off a day exploring the city.Despite being so close to the heart of Manhattan, the hotel is tucked away from the chaos, offering a peaceful and comfortable retreat. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout my stay. A special mention goes to Monia at the front desk—she was exceptionally welcoming and always ready to assist with a smile. If you're looking for a well-located, quiet, and friendly place to stay in New York City, I highly recommend Hotel Belleclaire!
Apr 23, 2025 · Simo LuxHi!I'm typically shying away from writing reviews, but have vowed to do this one.First of, thank you to Shanier for great service mentality. Your hospitality has supported what I was doing and helped make my trip a success.Rooms: are pretty much like the photos. I find them modern yet elegant and providing a comfortable feeling. Beds were comfy, sheets provided deep sleep. Yes, when someone lets the door fall in, it can be noticed inside the room, however, once everybody is in their rooms it does not transfer over. I cannot say this to be a determining factor at all. I never heard any noise or sound from inside other rooms.Bathrooms are great, clean and modern, I had one room with a bathtub, but even with this the room all round was just great. If you get a room like this, I recommend keeping it and enjoying it.Staff: Super friendly, super focused on getting you what you need. If you've ever worked in hospitality, you know what it's like to address a thousand requests in a day. This crew wants you to enjoy your stay with the least distraction possible.French cafe: Perfect for breakfast! Fresh every morning, great coffee and croissant! I rank it amongst the best included breakfast in New York City and most other places.Common Area: Never mind the small elevator! It is nostalgic and you will enjoy taking it into the art deco lobby in your evening wear on your way to dinner. I was wearing a tuxedo. Why not?!There is a happy hour with wine and snacks. Cosy atmosphere, live music, more of attentive hospitality. I have not encountered such in many houses recently. And I think that is all you need to know about this one!You all can look up the location yourself in terms of public transport convenience - the neighborhood is decent!Enjoy your stay here!
May 27, 2025 · Danny RBeautiful old hotel. Clean room, if not the nicest room in the place. I couldn’t really complain - I booked through a 3rd party sight and scored an amazing price. I’m guessing that’s why I had a 1st floor room right over the “club” ~restaurant~ . No robes in the room and 2 beds instead of 1. It was kinda funny when at check in they earnestly told my husband and I that we got “upgraded” to 2 beds! All good though - We were there to see Jason Isabel at The Beacon and the location was ideal. Affordable parking garage on 81st and loved the coffee and pastries in the morning from the cafe right downstairs. They give each guest a $10 voucher upon check in to use there. Overall a really great stay. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.
