Hotel Hayden Reviews
The location was extremely convenient for me.Tracey at the front desk is just so wonderful, friendly, and working in a positive and supportive manner! other staff members are also great such as Taylor also at the front desk, and the cleaning staff too!Room size was good for me personally, considering the other alternatives, it is super clean, comfy bed, and hot water (as I have heard about this issue in other hotels).I would definitely stay here next time.Thank you so much.
Apr 23, 2025 · Lina YouI stayed here in May 2023 with my husband for 4 nights in a standard king room. The first night, we woke up itchy - called the front desk and asked them to check it out and change the bedsheets if they didn't find bedbugs, but they insisted on moving us ASAP which, fine. (Though they didn't end up finding bedbugs, so in hindsight I wish they just would've listened to our request so we didn't have to repack our bags to move.)We moved to a room right across the hall ... and the A/C was busted. Ended up having to coordinate with a repair person at the hotel to come and fix it, losing a big part of our morning. I called the front desk and asked if there was something they could do, like maybe upgrading our room (they didn't have anything higher level available) or comping at least part of our stay, and they said they can't do that but that next time I visited N.Y.C. they'd be happy to set us up with a free stay.I called this week to try and set that up, and the woman whom I spoke to back in May 2023 doesn't work there anymore, "So there is nothing we can do." I asked if maybe they could do just a couple of nights - I didn't need the whole four nights - and was still shut down. I know it was two years ago but the managers didn't even check to see if there was a note in my stay record or anything. They weren't rude but they honestly didn't care at all.I RARELY leave reviews like this, and I was polite on the phone about it, but the whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth. (That being said, the location is great as are the amenities, which gets it two stars from me.)
May 01, 2025 · Jen HauptHonestly the staff here is remarkable. I believe her name is Gracie or Grace , has helped me many times and she is such a gem. On my last trip to America I stayed here about once a month for a five month duration. There are of course small improvements to be made, would be great to have usb outlets next to the bed or for the bathroom grouting to be redone, or even small drinks// snacks or a mini bar situation, or even a bar /restaurant in the hotel would be great but those are really second thoughts. The hotel is always clean, the staff is always helpful, always available, I've never had to worry about safety or my bags being secured, the location you truly cannot beat for the price. I always recommend this place and will definitely be returning next trip. Thank you again!
Mar 25, 2025 · nikole evansRoom was very nice and spacious. However, the heater did not work and it was extremely cold throughout the night. It is actually warmer if you turn the heater/AC off. I set it to 81º but it was still colder than just turning off the room's heating system.
Mar 09, 2025 · Alexander De LeonThis has been one of the most disappointing hotels I’ve stayed at.Very dim lighting and missing the light in bathroom. I’ve asked twice now to have it replaced and they haven’t so I can’t see to do my makeup.Worst of all is I can’t sleep. The pillows are lumpy in the oddest way. I think they must be really cheap $4 pillows from Walmart that got washed 50 times so the cotton separated into hard little clumps. To say I’ve never even slept on a pillow like this is an understatement. I keep waking up with headaches and pain in my neck. The floor has vinyl slats that don’t quite meet up so you can stub your toe in the underlay and it’s yucky.Worst of all they don’t have real bedding or blankets. Instead they have a coverlet similar to a curtain and they put two flat sheets on either side of it. Just imagine sleeping in drapes. When I asked for a blanket they sent up the scratchy thin tan one (see photos) similar to what you’d get in army barracks but thinner. It’s not super clean and so far the housekeeping staff (while kind) don’t speak English so it’s a struggle to get help.I can’t seem to put into words how this hotel is making it so hard to do what I came to NY to do because I’m exhausted and my head hurts. I’m temped to just eat the money and switch hotels.
