May 19, 2025 · Ian McKennaJust returned to the uk after spending a week here. 2 adults and 2 children, after reading some reviews I was a little worried but there was nothing atal to worry about. We had an amazing week here, the location is perfect, reception staff are very attentive, polite and helpful. Doormen exceptional. Housekeeping are also exceptional.Rooms are slightly on the small side but it was no issue and the drinks at the bar are eye watering prices but again that didn’t matter too much as there are places nearby which have slightly lower prices.I cannot fault this hotel and would recommend to anyone and would definitely return when we next visit New York.
Apr 20, 2025 · Rachel HarlowA good hotel with a good location, just a 5 minute walk from Grand Central. It’s New York, no hotel room will be huge but these are slightly bigger than average in a lovely grand building. All areas seemed well maintained and clean. The heated floor in the bathroom was a nice surprise. Beds are comfortable. I was made to wait 20 minutes when checking in as the front desk agent insisted I waited for the ambassador desk (who was busy- whilst I get it may be more attentive service, I just wanted the room key after a long flight, not to stand waiting for someone complaining at a charge). The hotel charges an amenity fee which is compulsory and regardless of your thoughts on this unnecessary fee, most hotels in Manhattan charge it and it’s creeping across other major cities too but it is listed when you book- it is worth noting you get credit to use in the restaurant, which brings an expensive meal down to a reasonable one. The club lounge attendant could have been a little friendlier. Certainly one of the better hotels in Manhattan, I do recommend.
May 04, 2025 · Aaron PayneThe room was nice and clean but I could hear people talking in the adjacent room. Not good. The hotel is at a walking distance from Grand Central, NY Public Library, The Summit, and many restaurants. Location was it was amazing. Times Square is also walkable but it could take 20 minutes to get there.I didn’t find front desk staff welcoming, unfortunately. Also stayed at The Edition in Times Square and the hotel staff was quite welcoming and pleasant to talk to.Overall it was great place to stay.
May 13, 2025 · imtiaz ahmadAlthough the stay was for one night, the hotel itself is beautiful, but I don't know if it was worth staying. There's a lot of hidden fees and they'll straight up tell you "READ THE FINE PRINT."I loved the bar area. I didn't appreciate being ignored by the bartender when I asked for a copy of the receipt. I asked more than once. The service was great until the check was dropped. The bed is very comfortable but was surprisingly small. My friend and I fit fine, but if you are on the bigger side, it might be an issue if you are sharing. The shower could be better. It was weak.A beautiful hotel, but for the price, I don't know if I'll be eager to stay again.
