New York Marriott Marquis Reviews
Just stayed at the New York Marriott Marquis in Times Square and had a great experience! The location is unbeatable—right in the middle of all the action. The hotel is really accessible, with elevators everywhere and spacious, wheelchair-friendly rooms and entrances. The amenities were solid—there’s a fitness center, business areas, and multiple dining options. The View rooftop restaurant was definitely a highlight with its revolving view of the city. Super convenient and comfortable stay, especially if you need accessible features. Would definitely come back!
May 30, 2025 · Dougie SinclairAmazing hotel in the heart of Times Square. The hotel was high tech and beautiful. There was tons of security and I can see the safety of their guests was a priority. Our room was so nice and very spacious. Every staff member was professional and helpful. Yes it was extremely expensive, but this is NYC. I highly recommend this hotel.
Jun 02, 2025 · Suzanne E JonesI enjoyed staying at this Marriott. The area being Times Square makes it super busy but the hotel itself had a much more relaxed feel to it. The room was quite large, had a view of Times Square and was really quiet which was amazing. Staff was also very nice.
May 31, 2025 · Vincent H.Although I read some negative reviews online about long elevator wait times and police car noise, I decided to give it a try due to its perfect location. After comparing prices several times, I booked on Trip.com two weeks before departure at a good price. The overall quality and environment of the hotel are as clean, bright and spacious as the photos shared by other guests on the Internet comments. There are about 60 rooms per floor (arranged by room number along the stairwell), but luckily we didn't hear much noise from neighbors or passersby like we do in some hotels in Tokyo. Although we could occasionally hear the sirens of police cars on the street outside, or the noise from watching football games in the restaurant on the 8th floor and the banquet hall below the 7th floor, we felt it was very quiet during our five-day stay. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The side table of the desk can be pulled out to form a 90-degree angle with the main table to increase the usable space. The air-conditioning vents are designed next to the window so they don’t blow directly onto the bed, which I think is great. The extra $40 per day fee is probably what bothers many guests, and they can use it in the restaurant or subscribe to wireless internet access in the room (unfortunately, this hotel does not provide free, high-speed and stable Wi-Fi like in Japan, South Korea or Taiwan). Starbucks and the gift shop were not applicable to daily fee, so we had a drink at the bar on the 8th floor and admired the night view of Times Square ads. There are vending machines on the 7th floor where you can buy drinks and snacks at any time. The attitude of the hotel staff at the front desk was neither good nor bad. We treated this place as a self-service commercial hotel and enjoyed its facilities. With no expectations, we were not disappointed.
Apr 26, 2025 · Katherine SuWe flew to New York for the opening night of Stranger Things “The First Shadow”. The Marquis theatre is actually situated on the 3rd floor of the hotel, so it was always going to be top of our list. The great service is my main reason for leaving this review. Kevin W. (Front Desk Trainer), gave exceptional customer service from the beginning and ensured our entire stay was the best experience possible. The genuine friendliness, empathy and attention to detail that Kevin exuded demonstrated a gold standard that the Marriott group should positively recognise and encourage. The security officers on the ground floor were very professional and helpful with directions both inside the hotel and around Manhattan. The lift system was a joy to use throughout our stay (If you do go to the theatre, getting up to your room is a lot quicker than waiting for restrooms at the interval). The M Club (Platinum Status and higher or $75 additional) was impressive. Great buffet selection, friendly staff and not overcrowded (Sun - Wed). Definitely better than BA Lounges. My King Room with sofa bed, had plenty of room for two people with ample wardrobes, a decent smart TV (Netflix & YouTube) and a coffee machine but no kettle (which is a common problem for Brits staying in the US). The bathroom was clean, modern and perfectly adequate. The housekeeping was another positive feature of this hotel. The rooms and corridors were kept to a high standard and they always managed to time the room cleaning when we were out, never disturbing us. I always found the cleaning staff very friendly and helpful, even when working late at night.
