Park Central Hotel New York Reviews
There was no fridge or coffee machine in the room and there was no food room service. We were there for four nights and the room was not cleaned once. We had to request towels each day. There was no handset for the phone and although we requested one it never came. The elevators were a big problem, each time we wanted to go downstairs there was a long wait. When we left we were informed there was a “resort fee” of $40 a night. The very nice people at the desk reduced it by half when we explained about the phone, towels etc. but I was very disappointed in the housekeeping. The rooms were quite clean when we arrived and the beds were comfortable The bathroom was fine. Nice shower.Location was good, very central with a Starbucks on the corner.
May 20, 2025 · Beatrice BoothExtremely Disappointing ExperienceThis hotel was a major disappointment and absolutely not worth the price. Despite not being cheap, the property is outdated and in serious need of a complete renovation. From the moment we arrived, we were shocked by the condition of the facilities. The room had an awful view—facing the back and looking directly into the inside of the building, offering no privacy or scenery. Nothing in the room seemed to work properly. There was no place to hang towels, no water available to purchase, and basic amenities were lacking. The toilet door handle was broken, and even the toilet paper holder was damaged. The carpets were old and worn, the walls scuffed and dated, and the elevators felt unreliable and just as aged as the rest of the hotel. It was clear that little to no investment has been made in maintaining or upgrading this property.Overall, this was a disappointing and uncomfortable stay. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone until a full remodel is completed. And the biggest shock was that it has good reviews! Questionable!!!!
May 26, 2025 · Leah TressWhere do I start. Got a room and it wasn't ready or in preparation. So I got a different room. Some facilities were broken! in the room. asked for a coffee maker, got it a day after (and they said it will be right there. Waited 3 hours in the room and had to ask again. Twice.). No curtain, just "blackout curtain", but it doesn't matter, the view is to a wall, you don't know anyway if it's day or night outside.Good things? The reception service and the bed is comfortable. And great located. That's it.
May 23, 2025 · Ruben BecherI had high hopes for my stay at Park Central New York, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing for several reasons. After checking out, I was charged multiple smoking fees, which were completely inaccurate. As a non-smoker, I took great care to respect the hotel’s policies, and there was absolutely no smoking in the room during my stay. I’ve reached out to the hotel several times to dispute the charges and provide context, but I’ve yet to receive a response. The lack of communication and accountability has been incredibly frustrating and unprofessional.Beyond the billing issue, there were other concerns that made the stay feel less than comfortable. The shower had visible mold in the area where the shampoo and conditioner were mounted, which raised hygiene concerns. The elevators did not require a room key for access, which felt like a security risk given the hotel’s busy location. On top of that, the room didn’t include a mini fridge, which is a standard amenity in most hotels at this price point.I don’t often leave negative reviews, but between the unresolved charges, the cleanliness issues, and the lack of basic amenities, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and works to improve both guest experience and communication.
May 28, 2025 · Alexis CountrymanI have some mixed feelings about this hotel. The location is absolutely amazing and the price we got was great for the size of the room. However, they really need to work on cleanliness in this hotel. When we checked in the room was so dusty and it was obviously not cleaned properly from the previous guests. When I emailed them about this, they said they will see to it, however they never did. So I emailed again and they just ignored it altogether. The hotel really needs more lifts as we had to climb 8 flights of stairs several times in order to get to our room because there are only TWO lifts. Also, they need to deal with large groups way better as there were a lot of school children shouting downstairs and gathering in massive groups being rude to other guests. This must be managed better.Overall I would recommend this hotel however they need to clean the rooms way better and actually respond to guest concerns.
