The Carnegie Hotel Reviews
This hotel is simply way too expensive! The rooms are too small, the breakfast is just average, and the service leaves much to be desired…I stayed at the hotel for a week in April this year. During my stay, the cleaning staff entered my room while I was out and mistakenly threw away a shopping bag worth around $250.When I reported the incident to the shift manager — who was absolutely wonderful (she had red hair, but I forgot her name) — she did everything she could to help but unfortunately couldn’t locate the bag.She escalated the issue to the hotel manager, who later emailed me claiming that I must have thrown the bag away myself. In other words, she blamed me for what happened.I’ve been trying to speak with her ever since, with no success…It’s truly disappointing that a 5-star hotel operates this way. When you’re paying $2,000 for a week’s stay, you expect better treatment — not the kind of service you’d get at a hostel in Brooklyn.Aside from the hotel’s great location, there’s really nothing good I can say about it.And that’s a shame.
May 29, 2025 · Netanel CohenI don’t write a lot of reviews but this one deserves it. I took a chance on this small boutique hotel based on great reviews and very fair pricing - and I couldn’t have been happier I did! One of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever stayed in (seriously- so clean!). The room is compact, but well thought out with plenty of space for bags. Rainfall shower, robe and slippers, 2 welcome bottles of water in the room. The staff is super nice, and the wine/cheese in the evenings, late night snacks and breakfast are great. Perfect midtown location. This will now be our go-to hotel in midtown.
Apr 10, 2025 · Cynthia StevensI don't understand why this is a 4 star hotel. This should be 3 star hotel at best. Their lobby is pretty much non existent. The view I had out of the room was staring into a wall out the window. The room was tiny ( which is par for the area ). The breakfast was one of the worst and I have had better in other 3 star hotels. The only pros were the rooms seemed nice and it was a good location for the price. I would not stay here again. It seems they are padded by a ton of fake reviews.
May 25, 2025 · Vignesh MI traveled to NYC with my daughter for a show at Carnegie Hall. The convenience of this hotel put us at ease in arriving on time as well as getting back safely. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean and modern with a music theme throughout the hotel. Loved the images of artists who have performed at Carnegie Hall. They kept our bags after checking out so we could explore the city freely. So grateful for all of the services provided! Ours was a very good stay!
Apr 15, 2025 · Dawn NajmyI really enjoyed my stay at this hotel in NYC. The room was super clean and a decent size, especially by NYC standards! One of the highlights for me was the 24/7 coffee & juice machine and snack bar on the first floor. As someone who loves coffee and real juice, I really appreciated the free breakfast served from 6 to 10 am, and the wine and cheese serving from 5 to 6 pm added a fun, relaxing touch to the evenings. The location was perfect, right between Central Park and Times Square, making it super convenient to explore the heart of the NYC. Overall, it was a great experience and I’d definitely recommend it.
