Residence Inn New York Manhattan/Central Park Reviews
Always the same friendly, great service - even greeting us by name at the door, before we check-in.This review is way overdue. This is our sixth time staying at this location, we consider this our NYC hotel. Over the years the staff has wonderfully, accommodated special requests from arranging transportation for 20+ guests to a surprise birthday bottle of champagne when another trip had to be extended a day due to canceled flights.Great location, the rooms are nice, the showers are really good and the breakfast bar is hard to beat. However, the friendly staff makes this our NYC hotel!
Apr 14, 2025 · Major GreeneIt’s fine. It’s just plainly fine. Is it the nicest hotel you’ll ever stay in? I hope not. Is it the worst? Surely not. But it’s a good location and decent rooms.Location is great for Broadway shows and some good restaurants. 10-15 minute walk to almost all the theaters/Times Square but still really quiet on the hotel’s streets. We went to several amazing restaurants nearby that we found based on ratings for the area and they did not disappoint.Rooms are a bit gross in some ways. Stains on the bee covers. Broken lampshade. Not a fully clean bathroom. Some of the small appliances were gross. Nothing deal-breaking but it’s definitely noticeable. Fridge-freezer was turned off when we arrived then didn’t work and started making crazy loud noises so we turned it back off. Our room had a clear view of the Times Square ball drop, which would be cool on NYE but I’m sure the room itself is astronomically priced for that night.Worst part is the lobby. When it is crowded all the dummies just stand in front of the doors blocking everyone from getting in or out. Every time we left we had to ask flight attendants or tourists with 80 bags to move because we legitimately couldn’t get to the revolving door (they had the other door blocked off because of the weather). There’s staff standing around for valet and bags - they should keep the doors clear for fire safety alone, but no one does anything.Nice lounge on the 3rd floor where they serve breakfast that you can hang out in during the day. Big couches and tables to work on and relatively quiet.
Apr 13, 2025 · Elise SWhen we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and given a beautiful corner room. Upon request, we received a hot plate, and the kitchen was already equipped with the essentials. At breakfast, disposable tableware was used, which took some getting used to.However, we later found it to be more hygienic since many items were individually packaged. The buffet offered a great variety, ensuring there was something for everyone.A special highlight was the consistently friendly and attentive staff, who made our stay even more enjoyable. We would love to come back - especially if we can get the same room again ;)Thank you for the wonderful time! :)
Feb 16, 2025 · Nastja P.What a beautiful hotel! We came in the beginning of spring, the weather was cool, no AC required. Staff were all friendly and welcoming, rooms were very clean. We were able to stay on the 60th floor, which was quite a splurge for us, but 100% worth it for a NYC experience. I don't know if parking is available, but one can walk everywhere easily.
Mar 28, 2025 · Angelica ScrogginsA lovely hotel in a auperb location. Clean, modern amenities, and an excellent European-style breakfast. A special shout-out to Luis on the front desk. Luis, you are a gem. A note to your management: Marriott is fortunate indeed to have such a kind, capable, professional, gentleman on its staff. Luis personifies what it means to be gracious - such a pleasure for guests!
