SpringHill Suites Tuckahoe Westchester County Reviews
This place has seriously gone downhill as of late. I have no desire to return. Where do I begin…My first night I was put in a room where the shower was broken, along with the thermostat. I both burnt myself attempting to use the shower and fell and hurt myself from the water pooling all over the floor. Before I went out for the evening I informed the hotel front desk about the shower, they said they would send someone to fix it. I had to follow up with the front desk myself, and they nonchalantly stated it “was fixed.” Nope, they just basically forced the shower door completely off the hinges, again making it impossible to actually open or close the door; the seal was installed backwards. I sat awake sweating the entire night; it was impossible to sleep as the temperature was about 80 degrees. The dividing walls and floors are exceptionally thin- the drunk people upstairs were stomping around until at least 3 AM. The room was also filthy, there were remnants of human feces on the side of the leftover toilet paper roll, I can only assume from the previous guests. I had to go out and buy my own I was so grossed out. This room also cost me just under $500 for the night. When I called back the following morning about the fact that my shower was broken I was told that “the entire hotel is sold out” and that the supervisor would call me when they were in later on that morning. Of course they did not contact me; I had to follow up yet again. Their idea of a resolution was to “send some engineers” up in an attempt to fix my shower. Number one: I’m a solo female, I don’t want to be stuck in a room with strange men by myself, number two; how in the world is this my issue in the first place? I’m here for a funeral, not to sit around while I’m paying another $500 for a room that is both inhabitable and dangerous. They finally decide to grace me with another room, how lovely. Shower knob is hanging off the wall by a thread, you can’t really change the temperature, and the water pressure is terrible, but at least it’s partially operational.Second night I came back to the hotel, a large group of drunk people were in the lobby around midnight, the speakers full blasting “I’m in love with a stripper” while they all screamed along, the hotel staff just hanging out and watching. Absolutely classless and completely ghetto, and also quite intimidating and scary. There was a party in the room across from me, underage teenagers walking around openly vaping in the hallways. Everywhere smells like weed. Non-smoking policy is quite laughable as staff clearly do not care about anything.Housekeeping starts banging on your front door at 8 AM if you don’t put a sign up. I went down to the front desk at a reasonable hour to request room service on our way out. The woman at the front desk is on the phone and doesn’t acknowledge me, I’m stood there for five minutes. Another staff member comes to the desk and helps the woman behind me, I’m flabbergasted at this point. Funnily enough I’ve spent a week here and not once has the front desk actually greeted me.The parking situation is wild. You have to walk about half a mile through a long dark lot, the woods around your vehicle are scattered with trash, glass and beer cans. As a solo female again this was quite scary and I was truly worried about the state of my rental car overnight. The hotel staff are incompetent and clearly do not care about their patrons. If you come here expecting absolutely nothing while simultaneously shelling out tons of money, you won’t be disappointed. But if you have any semblance of how a hotel should operate, book anywhere else.
May 23, 2025 · Marga MorrisseyWe had a nice, quiet stay at this hotel—perfect for getting some rest while in town for a sweet 16.The room was clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was peaceful, which we really appreciated.Parking wasn’t the most convenient but manageable. The free breakfast was a nice perk—while the options were somewhat limited, everything was fresh and tasty.Overall, a solid choice for a low-key, comfortable stay.
Apr 07, 2025 · Joe GarciaI don’t typically leave reviews unless the accommodation goes above and beyond expectations... so take that as you will. But I can confidently say this is the place I’ll stay whenever I’m in town for business. Are things perfect? Not quite. Small issues like a clogged sink or missing toiletries were easily avoidable, but I’m sure it was just a one-off. Still 5 star in my eyes. A quick call to the front desk took care of these minor issues right away (first sign of great customer service). The rooms themselves are very clean. Perfect for short-term stays. What really sets this place apart is the service. The GM, Gary Byrne, noticed I was having a meeting in the lobby with a co-worker. The meeting room was booked, there was construction going on, and it was noisy. We didn’t have many options—until Gary stepped in and offered us his office for privacy. I travel frequently for work, and I’ve never experienced this level of service before. They went above and beyond in other ways, but out of respect for them, I’m not mentioning those details so they don’t get bombarded with similar requests. The gym has everything you need and is open 24/7, which is a huge plus. Breakfast is solid—nothing fancy, but it covers all the essentials. The location is great too. Just a short walk to the train and less than five minutes to the town center, where you’ll find bars and shops. It’s a quiet area at night with very little traffic on the road so you'll be sure to have a peaceful evening.Cheers!
Mar 25, 2025 · Jose RBIG SHOUT OUT to the night time front desk staff especially Ezequiel for assisting me in my stay last night. I came back from a 9 hr flight and could barely keep my eyes open due to not feeling well, but Ezequiel went above and beyond to make sure I was checked in properly, provided clear and easy instructions to my room, and necessary information for the duration of my stay. Ezequiel is your staff of reference for every and any question throughout your stay. The room was spacious, super warm and cozy, the bed was comfortable, AND the room was very clean. Definitely giving this hotel and experience an 11/10!!!
