SuperLake Hotel Introduce
As a platform category focused on Scenic Spots, providing corresponding services or goods for sale, it's essential to offer objective and detailed information about local accommodation options. The SuperLake Hotel, located at 36-31 Prince St, Flushing, NY 11354, USA, is one such establishment in the bustling Flushing neighborhood of Queens. This introduction aims to provide local users with a comprehensive and objective overview of the hotel, encompassing its environment, the services and features it provides, and any relevant promotional information, all based on publicly available details and authentic customer reviews.
The environment of the SuperLake Hotel, according to customer reviews, presents several significant challenges right from the outset. The "entry into the lobby was difficult," with a lack of signage explaining that "a button had to be pressed to open the sliding lobby doors." This initial experience suggests a lack of clear wayfinding and potentially unhelpful staff, as "Nobody in the hotel would tell me to do that." Furthermore, the "lobby was not clean and organized," which creates a poor first impression and indicates a general issue with cleanliness and upkeep in common areas. This directly impacts the perceived "scenic" quality of the environment, even before reaching the guest rooms.
The hotel's location on Prince Street in Flushing places it within a vibrant, densely populated commercial and residential area known for its diverse culinary scene and cultural attractions. For local users, this means proximity to various dining options and shops. However, the internal environment of the hotel, as described in reviews, seems to detract from the external convenience of its location. The most alarming reports concern the cleanliness and condition of the rooms, with descriptions such as "the most nasty hotel I ever seen in my life," "bed bugs," "spiders," and "stained bed." Such severe issues raise significant concerns about hygiene and pest control, fundamentally undermining any positive aspects of the hotel's environment. The mention of "holes in the ceiling in the room and bathroom" further points to neglected maintenance and a generally poor physical state of the guest accommodations.
In terms of services and features, the SuperLake Hotel appears to offer a very limited and problematic set of amenities and guest experiences. A major recurring issue highlighted in reviews is the non-functional elevator. One guest reported that a "hotel employee called in the morning on the day of check-in saying the elevator is broken," and despite promises of repair, "The elevator did not work for the entire three day stay there," forcing guests with rooms on higher floors (e.g., "ninth floor") to use stairs. This lack of a functioning elevator is a significant impediment, especially for guests with luggage, disabilities, or mobility issues, and severely impacts the hotel's accessibility and basic service provision.
Regarding in-room features, the reviews indicate a bare-bones offering with significant deficiencies. While the "beds were adequate enough for a good night's sleep" for one reviewer, this positive is overshadowed by reports of "bed bugs" and "stained bed" from another. The bathroom facilities are also problematic, with mentions of "shower broke" and "no soap." The presence of "metal detectors to walk in" (presumably into the hotel or a specific area) is an unusual and potentially off-putting feature for guests, suggesting security concerns that might not be typical for a standard hotel. There is no mention of common amenities like refrigerators or microwaves in rooms, although this specific information is not provided as missing.
Customer service at the SuperLake Hotel is explicitly criticized in the reviews. The primary complaint is that the "Staff was not helpful," particularly in addressing the difficulty with the lobby doors. The lack of proactive communication or assistance from hotel personnel regarding basic entry, let alone the ongoing elevator issue, suggests a significant deficiency in guest relations and responsiveness. The dismissive attitude towards guest concerns, especially regarding critical issues like bed bugs, would contribute to an overall "horrible experience" and "worst customer service," as indicated by other reviews.
From a promotional perspective, based on the provided reviews, there is no positive promotional information available for the SuperLake Hotel. Instead, the customer feedback acts as a strong deterrent. Phrases like "I would not recommend this hotel for a lengthy stay," "It’s the most nasty hotel I ever seen in my life," and explicit warnings about "bed bugs" and "spiders" serve as extremely negative "promotional" material. Such reviews objectively inform potential guests about the significant risks and discomforts associated with staying at this establishment. For local users accessing a "Scenic Spot" platform to find accommodation, this critical information is paramount for making informed decisions and avoiding potentially unpleasant experiences. The provided phone numbers, (718) 886-8884 and +1 718-886-8884, are likely the general contact numbers for the hotel, but the reviews suggest that contacting them for resolution might not be effective.
The only positive point noted is that the "room had a good view of Manhattan," which might offer a momentary aesthetic appeal. However, this solitary positive is clearly outweighed by the multitude of severe issues regarding cleanliness, maintenance, and service. For a hotel to function effectively within the "Scenic Spot" category, it needs to provide a comfortable and safe base from which visitors can explore. The issues reported at the SuperLake Hotel directly compromise this fundamental purpose, making it unsuitable for enhancing a tourist's experience or providing a reliable stay for any traveler.
Given the nature of the reviews, it is evident that the hotel struggles significantly with basic hospitality standards. Issues such as pest infestations (bed bugs, spiders), structural damage (holes in the ceiling), broken essential services (elevator, shower), and unhelpful staff are critical failures. These problems indicate that the hotel does not meet the minimum expectations for cleanliness, safety, or guest comfort that travelers typically seek, especially when visiting scenic areas. For any platform recommending services or goods, providing this level of candid, albeit negative, information is essential for user safety and satisfaction.
In conclusion, the SuperLake Hotel, located at 36-31 Prince St, Flushing, NY, presents a highly problematic accommodation option for local users within the "Scenic Spot" platform category. While its location in Flushing offers proximity to various attractions and dining options, the hotel's internal environment and services are severely lacking. Critical issues include unhelpful staff, a difficult-to-access and unclean lobby, a continuously broken elevator, significant hygiene problems such as bed bugs and stained bedding, and visible structural damage within rooms. The lone positive of a "good view of Manhattan" is insufficient to offset these widespread and severe deficiencies. Based on the available customer reviews, the SuperLake Hotel would not be recommended for any length of stay due to its substantial cleanliness, maintenance, and service failures, which fundamentally undermine its suitability as a comfortable or reliable lodging option for travelers exploring local "Scenic Spots."

SuperLake Hotel Reviews
Staff was not helpful. Entry into the lobby was difficult. No signage was displayed saying a button had to be pressed to open the sliding lobby doors. Nobody in the hotel would tell me to do that. The lobby was not clean and organized. A hotel employee called in the morning on the day of check-in saying the elevator is broken. Repairs were underway but they were not completed when we arrived. The elevator did not work for the entire three day stay there. Our room was on the ninth floor. The room was somewhat clean but there were holes in the ceiling in the room and bathroom. The beds were adequate enough for a good night's sleep. The room had a good view of Manhattan. In summation, I would not recommend this hotel for a lengthy stay.

Apr 15, 2025 · Racked Up BoogzNO parking!!!! Attendant was clueless when we asked where we could park. WE We ended up parking in a ramp a block or so down the road. Room was basic and fair. Remote for TV didn't work. Booked for 5 guests - bathroom had only 2 towels. Day bed in one room had no sheets, blanket or pillow. Will NOT return!!!
Feb 18, 2024 · Cathy GardnerOur experience was not at all like a lot of the reviews. It’s what I expected for the price in NYC - a place to lay your head. It’s dingy but the beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The TV worked, AC worked. The day and night staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed to be close the the US Open. It gets the job done.
Aug 29, 2023 · Gwen CarverOur group arrived really late in the morning and that wasn't a problem, we quickly got into our rooms with no fussing and our room was quite spacious and close to many food options. Our room had two double beds and a pull out sofa bed, everything was comfortable. The only minor issue we had was our bathroom had a few minor problems but the staff quickly fixed the problem, had a few small ants wandering around but in my travels I've seen much worse, The hotel staff were helpful and pleasant, the rooms, appliances and bed was all quite good too that I would definitely stay here again in the future.
