Park Hyatt New York Reviews
I have wanted to stay at the PH NYC for a while now but finally had a chance when a friend of ours ran the NYC 1/2 Marathon last year. We were very pleased with our 1 night stay. The staff was welcoming, professional and courteous. From the moment we checked it, we felt a positive vibe already which set the tone for our stay. Almost every staff we came across said hi or showed a friendly smile. Being a Globlist, we were upgraded to a suite at check-in and offered 4pm late check out which worked perfectly as our friend completed his run near noon which gave us time to have lunch before we checked out (we were 2 mins pasted 4 but the receptionist were very understanding and gave us an additional 30 mins to pack & check out). We also had complimentary breakfast at the Living Room which was very nice in ambience. The food was delicious and staff were professional. The hotel & room were clean and nicely decorated. I would definitely return if I'm in the area again.
May 24, 2025 · Chewy MThank you for the exceptional service and hospitality.I stayed in room #1715, and Marie-Pierre, who checked me in, was absolutely amazing. I requested an upgrade, and she provided me with the best suite, especially since I arrived during the MET Gala. She was incredibly lovely throughout my entire stay. Then there’s Michael Sinatra, who is the best concierge I have ever met. He consistently provided me with recommendations for great places to visit, including boat tours, shows, activities, shopping, and wellness options. His personal attention was remarkable, showcasing a five-star level of service and truly being a credit to this hotel. We did have a few minor issues in the room, but Ben Nikolai, the front office manager, came personally to apologize and offered solutions, which I appreciated.I also want to express my gratitude to a woman whose name I unfortunately do not remember. She was handling a very special matter on Tuesday, May 8, in the afternoon. Marie knows who she is, so please extend my thanks and blessings to her for her meticulous care. This was my second time staying with you, and your team made my visit even more special.I hope to see you again soon!Thank you!Ms. SaoufiRoom #1715
May 12, 2025 · GSWe are Globalists and came to NYC to attend our daughter's performance at Carnegie Hall. This hotel is perfectly positioned across the street and close to many subway lines and Central Park. PHNY has been a bucket list hotel for a long time!We were upgraded to a one bedroom city view suite - ours didn't have a separate living room, but it was spacious which was so helpful because we had friends come in for a play date and we had 5 people over post-show for some snacks. The soaking tub fit was great and I think the rain shower changed my husband's life.My 5.5 yo was obsessed with the pool. It was always empty when we went. I loved the steam room and really wished I could've used the gym. We stay in a lot of nice hotels and this was the best.Globalists get free parking (amazing value because it's $90 per night) and we got our friends to use this benefit since we didn't have a car. We also get free breakfast at the restaurant or in-room. The latter was so helpful on the last day so we could eat and pack at the same time. The service was great - from the staff at the restaurant to housekeeping.Huge shout out to Joyce G. for taking care of us.
Mar 16, 2025 · Helen FangPark Hyatt is my favorite brand in the Hyatt portfolio. I’ve stayed in around 20 Park Hyatt properties across the world, and was really looking forward to the one in New York, which is one of the brand’s most famous. Unfortunately with an average daily room rate of US$1,500, Park Hyatt New York was incredibly disappointing.First, the hotel felt really cold and lifeless. I was barely greeted at the front desk upon check in. There was no recognition of my loyalty status, and minimal explanation of the hotel facilities and loyalty benefits until I asked. Even the gym had no background music, making it feel a little eerie as it’s always empty.Second, I specially chose to stay at this hotel on my actual birthday. I had shared this with the hotel upon reservation, and was told upon check in that they would send something to my room. Nothing. Not even a simple card. I stayed at almost 10 hotels this trip, and in every hotel, I got a cake, wine, or some special arrangement, even if it’s not the actual day. But at this luxury property that charges US$1,500 a night, nothing. Zilch.Third, even the limited facilities and amenities available weren’t working. I happened to be there on the second day of the spa’s reopening after almost a year of renovation. I was glad to see a swimsuit dryer and tried using it, but it didn’t work, despite the staff and technician being on site to try to fix it. Didn’t they bother to test it before opening day? The spa entrance also looked like a complete mess. Check out the photo showing it being used for furniture storage. There are plenty of great hotel options in Manhattan. If Park Hyatt charges exorbitant rates but can’t deliver an experience to justify it, good luck to them. I, for one, won’t be returning.
Apr 24, 2025 · Chester ChuaGood experience every time. Rooms spacious, esp for Manhattan. Some have glimpses of the park. The highlight is always the saltwater pool and sauna. Fitness center is a bit cramped, but fully featured and has great views. Great service every time. And location can't be beat.
