The Summer Club Introduce
The Summer Club, located at 8-08 Queens Plaza S, Long Island City, NY 11101, USA, stands as a prominent seasonal resort hotel and scenic spot, offering a unique rooftop pool party experience in the heart of Long Island City, Queens. Functioning as a high-energy day club, it provides a distinctive urban oasis with panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline. This establishment is primarily open during the warmer months, transforming the rooftop of the upscale Ravel Hotel into a vibrant destination for locals and visitors alike.
As a "Scenic Spot" platform category, The Summer Club combines its picturesque environment with services and goods for sale, catering to those seeking an elevated summer experience. The very essence of its appeal lies in its stunning visual backdrop – the iconic Manhattan skyline. Guests can soak up the sun by the crystal-clear, four-foot-deep swimming pool, enjoying the city's architectural marvels in the distance. The venue spans a meticulously designed 24,000 square feet, incorporating lush greenery, including palm trees and floral archways, to create an inviting tropical atmosphere amidst the urban landscape. This thoughtful design contributes significantly to its identity as a scenic attraction, offering Instagram-worthy moments and a luxurious setting.
The environment at The Summer Club is dynamic and geared towards a lively party scene. It is a destination where luxury and entertainment blend seamlessly. The atmosphere is consistently described as electric, drawing a diverse crowd of partygoers. While it primarily operates as a pool party venue, it also hosts various events, including music performances and dance parties. The venue's design includes comfortable lounge chairs for sunbathing, as well as VIP cabanas and tables situated along the terrace perimeter, offering more exclusive and shaded retreats for groups. The strategic placement of stocked bars around the venue ensures convenient access to refreshments.
In terms of services, The Summer Club offers a comprehensive package designed for a full day of rooftop fun. Key services include pool access, food and drink service, and bottle service. Guests can choose from various entry options, including general admission tickets, chaise lounges with pool access, and private cabanas. Cabanas and tables often come with minimum spend requirements for bottle service, providing a more exclusive and serviced experience. The venue utilizes an advanced point-of-sale (POS) system with multiple bar stations, accepting various payment types including bank cards, mobile tap, RFID, and cash, ensuring efficient service even during high traffic volumes.
The Summer Club is renowned for its featured entertainment, particularly its lineup of live DJs. The music style primarily encompasses EDM, house, and open format, with both headline DJs and local talents gracing the decks. Past and upcoming events have featured renowned artists, contributing to its reputation as a go-to spot for pulsating beats and a high-energy ambiance. The continuous stream of prominent DJs ensures a fresh and engaging soundscape throughout the summer season. While the DJ quality is often highlighted by patrons, some feedback suggests that the quality of earlier acts before headliners can vary.
Regarding food and beverages, The Summer Club provides a range of offerings suitable for a poolside environment. Reviews indicate that food is served, with past offerings including items like salmon kebab and fries. While some customer feedback on specific items, such as lobster rolls, has been critical regarding portion size and value for money (e.g., "$41 after tax and you barely get any lobster. It’s just a thick layer of bun underneath to make it look like a lot. Not worth it in my opinion"), the overall food program aims to complement the party atmosphere. The bar menu features an array of custom cocktails, wine, beer, and specialty frozen drinks, with cocktails starting from around $18 and pitchers from $75. Bottle service is also available, with prices for bottles starting from $400. However, drink prices have been a point of contention for some patrons, with mixed drinks noted as being as high as "$30," leading to comments about the desire for lower prices to encourage longer stays.
Promotional information often highlights The Summer Club as the "hottest pool scene in town" and the "ultimate summer escape in the concrete jungle." Various ticket options are available, from Early Bird General Admission starting at around $25 to more elaborate packages for cabanas and tables. Promotional codes are sometimes offered for discounts on tickets. The venue emphasizes its "swimwear attire" dress code, and management reserves the right of entry based on dress code etiquette. Important operational details are also communicated, such as hours of operation (typically open Fridays through Mondays, noon to 7 pm, with no entry after 5 pm), and policies regarding prohibited items like outside food, liquids, and personal inflatables. The Summer Club also notes its ADA accessibility. For lost items, a contact number (646) 942-6807 is provided. The venue's phone number is also listed as +1 646-942-6807.
Customer reviews provide a mixed but insightful perspective. While many appreciate the vibrant party atmosphere and the quality of headline DJs, recurring themes in feedback include concerns about high drink prices and, in some cases, the value or quality of certain food items. Some patrons also mention the crowd dynamics, with some finding it to be more of a party-focused crowd rather than strictly music-oriented. Despite these points, The Summer Club continues to be a popular destination for those seeking a lively summer day-club experience with impressive skyline views in Long Island City. It is a venue designed for socializing, dancing, and enjoying the summer sun, making it a compelling option for a "Scenic Spot" that offers both leisure and entertainment.

The Summer Club Reviews
Great set last night! First time there and was surprised by the quality of DJ. What sucked about this venue was a mixed drink was $30. What the actual hell. Lower your prices so people want to stay and dance, you’re the only place nearby to drink at anyway!
May 25, 2025 · Caitlin FergusonTheir lobster rolls are horrible. $41 after tax and you barely get any lobster. It’s just a thick layer of bun underneath to make it look like a lot. Not worth it in my opinion, and also the DJs performing before the headliner suck. Didn’t know I had to stay here until 8-9 pm to see the headliner I signed up for.
May 24, 2025 · Bean SoupA show was rescheduled and we have an email from the venue saying that if you can sell your ticket to anyone they wouldn’t be denied entry if the name didn’t match. When we arrived we were denied entry and made to pay the full $75 (We purchased our tickets second hand for $40 they were tier 1)We later found out that they didn’t deny most people entry but were picking and choosing. After many emails and lots of time they finally refunded us but only the $40 dollar tickets.Isn’t that messed up?SCAM!!!!
Apr 13, 2025 · Levi HazanBeen there twice & it had the weirdest vibes of any venue I’ve ever been to—it’s like Walmart Miami. Lotta guidos and offbrand barbies of all ages more interested in taking selfie videos with the stage in the background than actually dancing.Sound system is okay, security was nice to my friends & me, and the line wasn’t bad at all. However, everything is suuuuper overpriced and the bartenders were not attentive (took forever to get a canned drink with no line at the bar). They kept disappearing & coming back with the jaw iykyk. They seem to get great acts there though so I’ll probably be back! Lmao
May 30, 2025 · Elsa RodriguezThe bouncers were awful and denied us entry without giving any reason. We booked through Dice and they refused to give us a refund. Avoid both.
