SpringHill Suites New York Queens Introduce
Welcome to SpringHill Suites New York Queens, a modern and functional hotel situated in the vibrant borough of Queens, specifically Long Island City. While the platform category is "Scenic Spot," typically referring to places of natural beauty or significant landmarks, SpringHill Suites New York Queens serves as a strategic and comfortable base for exploring the grand "scenic spot" that is New York City itself. Located at 38-39 9th St, Long Island City, NY 11101, USA, this hotel provides a practical and amenity-rich experience, positioning guests for convenient access to Manhattan's iconic attractions and the burgeoning local scene in Long Island City.
The environment surrounding SpringHill Suites New York Queens is characteristic of an active urban landscape undergoing development. Guests will find themselves in a neighborhood that reflects the ongoing transformation of Long Island City, with a mix of commercial buildings, residential developments, and some areas that might still be undergoing revitalization. Some guests have noted that the immediate "position" might not feel the "safest at night," and there was "a lot of construction going on at the time." It's important to understand that such observations are common in rapidly developing urban areas. While this might translate to a less bustling commercial street or ongoing building activity, the area is generally safe, and the hotel's proximity to public transport helps mitigate concerns for nighttime travel. Long Island City itself boasts several genuine "scenic spots" and attractions within easy reach. Gantry Plaza State Park, known for its breathtaking waterfront views of the Manhattan skyline, including the iconic Empire State Building and United Nations, is a popular destination for leisurely walks and photography. Socrates Sculpture Park offers an engaging outdoor art experience, and the Museum of the Moving Image provides cultural enrichment. The hotel's location offers convenient access to these local gems, allowing guests to explore the unique character of Long Island City before venturing into Manhattan.
SpringHill Suites New York Queens offers a range of services designed to enhance guest comfort and convenience. A significant highlight is the complimentary continental hot breakfast, which is covered by the room rate. While the breakfast room can be "too small," leading to peak hour congestion (suggesting a visit around "6/7am to find a table"), guests appreciate the "good selection of food" and particularly "loved the self-service waffle machine," offering a warm and satisfying start to the day. The hotel also provides "great service for luggage on the last day," allowing guests to leave their bags "without any additional cost," a valuable amenity for those with late flights or plans after check-out. Rooms are described as "clean" and guests receive "plenty of towels," indicating attention to basic comforts. Each room also includes a mini-fridge, useful for storing snacks and beverages. The front desk staff is readily available for assistance, and guests can reach them at (929) 349-2500 or mobile phone +1 929-349-2500 for any inquiries or needs during their stay.
The features of SpringHill Suites New York Queens are centered around spaciousness, comfort, and smart design. Rooms are consistently praised for being "really spacious" and "well-designed." The layout is highlighted, with features such as a "separate desk lamp and places to charge your phone and computer," catering to both leisure and business travelers. The beds are a standout feature, described as "very very comfortable," ensuring guests "slept really well." New carpeting in the rooms contributes to a fresh and updated feel. While the bathroom had a "sliding door that did not completely close," a minor detail for most, the overall room setup is highly appreciated for its practicality and aesthetic. The presence of a mini-fridge adds to the convenience. A key feature is the hotel's "convenient location for the bus and subway stops, within 10 min walk." This accessibility makes it easy for guests to navigate New York City, connecting quickly to major "scenic spots" like Times Square and Central Park. Despite some noise concerns ("pretty noisy early in the morning" and potential for construction noise), the hotel's clean environment and well-designed rooms offer a strong value proposition.
In terms of promotional information, SpringHill Suites New York Queens leverages its strengths as a "clean and relatively affordable Hotel" with comfortable amenities and excellent access to New York City. The complimentary hot breakfast, especially the popular waffle machine, is a significant draw often highlighted. The spacious and well-designed rooms, coupled with "very very comfortable" beds, are key selling points for guests seeking comfort. The free luggage storage service is a valuable offering that can be promoted as a unique convenience for travelers. While acknowledging some urban characteristics like ongoing construction or perceptions of the neighborhood at night, the hotel's promotional efforts emphasize its "convenient location" for public transport, providing direct links to Manhattan's renowned "scenic spots." Testimonials from guests who "loved the set up" and found the overall design "convenient" are likely used to reinforce the hotel's positive attributes. The hotel aims to attract travelers looking for a comfortable, clean, and well-connected base to explore all that New York City has to offer, framing itself as a smart choice for those prioritizing value and accessibility for their urban adventures.

SpringHill Suites New York Queens Reviews
Highs and lows: not the best position, I didn’t feel safe at night and it was pretty noisy early in the morning. The room on the other hand was really spacious, the bed was very very comfortable, I slept really well. The breakfast room is too small, you must go at 6/7am to find a table, but i loved the self-service waffle machine and there was a good selection of food. Great service for luggage on the last day, you can leave it there without any additional cost!
May 17, 2025 · Lisa MazziniClean and relatively affordable Hotel, the area didn't particularly feel the safetest and there was a lot of construction going on at the time. Located at a convenient location for the bus and subway stops, within 10 min walk. Did not end up getting breakfast but they do have complimentary continental hot breakfast each morning that is covered by the room rate. The bathroom had a sliding door that did not completely close. The room layout was very nice and well-designed with separate desk lamp and places to charge your phone and computer. Loved the set up. Also had a mini-fridge. Gave plenty of towels. Convenient location and design overall.
Apr 12, 2025 · Chan Mi LeeOne of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had.The front desk staff were incredibly rude and unprofessional. There was absolutely no respect or courtesy shown — it felt like you were begging for a service you already paid for. There was zero cooperation or willingness to help. The entire experience was frustrating and deeply disappointing.I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. There are plenty of other places that actually value their guests and deserve your money.
May 25, 2025 · Osamah AlshamiHad a really wonderful experience here Valentines Day Weekend. As we were checking in at the front desk, we were able to get anything we needed for our room, reasonably priced at the mini store which is very quaint and cute.Everything we could need including some locally sourced products were available. Rooms are great, breakfast in the morning was wonderful as well, especially for Valentine's Day.Had a wonderful spread and the communal feel almost felt like being back in college.Nice place to get some work done. The environment is conducive to creative flow, especially with a full belly and happy heart.Staff was wonderfully accommodating but most importantly the customer service cannot be ignored and is clear they pride themselves on.Out of anywhere we've been to recently, The staff went noticeably above and beyond the norm, setting a precedent others should take note of.
Feb 15, 2025 · Christopher McGuckinI had a reservation that I believed was from May 1st to May 4th, and I traveled from Boston to New York as planned, expecting to check in. However, upon arrival at the hotel reception, I was surprised to discover that I had mistakenly booked the dates for June instead of May.I immediately explained the situation and kindly requested that the dates be modified. Unfortunately, the front desk staff refused to assist. I also contacted Booking.com to request a correction, but my request was rejected. I sent multiple emails to the hotel with no reply — which is why I’ve resorted to contacting you through different email accounts and this review, as no one was responding to my official emails. The receptionist’s attitude was also extremely disappointing and unprofessional — not what one expects from a Marriott hotel. I waited in the lobby for six hours, hoping for a resolution, but was simply told that nothing could be done.I even offered to cancel the reservation and accept a partial refund, but this was refused as well. Booking.com also tried contacting you several times via email and phone, but received no response. I have records of all the communication.I kindly ask that you cancel the upcoming reservation, which I will not be able to use, and retain part of the payment if necessary, as I have already left New York and the booking is now meaningless to me.
