Wyndham Garden Chinatown Reviews
Well, well, what can I say about this hotel…Let’s start with the positives: the beds were comfortable — and that’s about it.If this is meant to be a four-star hotel, it’s hard to believe. On arrival, you’re faced with a large staircase, which is a real hassle when you have big suitcases. To make things more awkward, the hotel shares its entrance with a sports bar. At one point, there was even a homeless man sitting on the steps, watching into the bar.Check-in wasn’t much better. We were greeted by a lady called Abi, who had about as much customer service as a potato. She was robotic, spoke a mile a minute, and rattled off terms and conditions without making sure we understood. The room itself was okay — a little dated, with some broken bits like the chair, but overall not terrible. However, even with double glazing, we could hear a lot of traffic noise from outside. And then came check-out, which was the worst part. We were presented with a bill for extra charges. Every time I asked the lady at the desk what they were for, she just said they were “mandatory” but gave no details. It was frustrating and left a bad taste.
May 11, 2025 · C Hood4/29/25 morning 9am, I had bathroom emergency and couldn’t access the bathroom. I very respectfully with a please and soft tone asked the front desk(chubby black hair fair skin with suit on), for the key to the bathroom and he told me there is no such thing as a key to the bathroom, that I can go to the park for it.I was obviously fretting and said it’s emergency and try to state if I can buy something, and he cut in and said, he am very busy and he can’t help me and ignored me.I won’t rate a low rating because of one bad egg out of huge batch but what can I do?It doesn’t matter if he knows me or not, even though my friends and I take turns coming here regularly. I am not sloppy and don’t look dirty at all and dressed appropriately with manners, I didn’t deserve to be treated that way. There is nothing open at this hour for a restroom. Clients feel bad and say “aww” as I embarrassingly and desperately walked out the door to find relief.I don’t need a response, but I just had to let to it that he is the first person in this hotel to lie about no bathroom availability, especially for a lady who is in desperate need of relief. I hope he gets his talk.
Apr 29, 2025 · Vivian KoGreat location but room not up to good standard. Facilities mediocre, for example the breakfast room is too small and has no windows. There is not enough seating space. Balcony door does not close properly, so rain means a wet carpet. And I would highly recommend using the room safe as some of our stuff went 'missing' and staff consistently ignored our complaints about this.
Apr 15, 2025 · RobClaudia was so helpful to our group. We had difficulties with expedia but she was so kind despite being very busy and made us feel very welcome. She made this a great impact on my experience at this hotel.
May 24, 2025 · Fionnuala McDermottPoor value for money! Very expensive, small room with outdated and poor-quality furnishings. Unfriendly staff. Terrible breakfast. No publicly accessible restrooms in the lobby. Fresh towels/toilet paper only provided after multiple requests. Before checkout, we received a $250 charge for a facility fee, which was simply charged to the credit card—even though we didn’t even receive any cleaning service. I would not stay at this hotel again and cannot recommend it to anyone.
