Courtyard Yonkers Westchester County Reviews
I recently stayed at Marriott Hotel at Yonkers, and unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. We stayed at this hotel for 5 days and on the second last day where we had our room cleaned, I noticed that some souvenir personal items had gone missing from our room. I immediately reported this to the front desk, hoping for some clarity or assistance. However, I was met with a lack of urgency and no follow-up from the staff.I had expected the hotel to take the situation seriously, especially when personal belongings are involved, but their response was underwhelming. Despite my repeated requests for an investigation, nothing was done to resolve the issue. The staff seemed disinterested, and I felt like my concerns were brushed aside. It’s incredibly frustrating to stay at a place that you trust, only to have your belongings disappear without any explanation or resolution. The lack of professionalism and communication has left me feeling incredibly disappointed, and I will definitely be reconsidering staying at this hotel again in the future.I would strongly recommend guests be cautious when booking here and ensure they secure their personal belongings. Unfortunately, this experience has left me with a sour impression of the hotel's overall management and customer service.
Apr 10, 2025 · Janessa MujerDisappointed with My Stay and Service ExperienceI recently stayed at the Courtyard Hotel and unfortunately had a disappointing experience from start to finish. Upon arrival, the systems were down, which delayed my check-in. I remained patient despite the inconvenience, but when it came time to pay, the card reader (which visibly had a damaged green button) repeatedly failed to process my card. I asked a simple question about the type of PIN it required, and the manager responded rudely, saying several times, “How would I know your PIN?”—a response that felt unnecessary and unprofessional.Eventually, I managed to complete the payment, but once I entered the room, I knew I wouldn’t be able to stay. The room was advertised as having a king-sized bed, but the space was so cramped that it felt uncomfortable. There were visible curly hairs on the floor, and the furniture looked dirty. Worst of all, the AC unit was extremely loud, making it impossible to relax.I decided to request a refund and spoke to the manager at the front desk, who assured me that I would receive a refund within five business days. However, I have not received written confirmation—either a receipt or email. During a phone call to clarify the status, a front desk staff member hung up on me after I raised my voice out of frustration. I acknowledge that I was upset, but I was also overwhelmed, as I run a small business and was looking forward to a much-needed break. Instead, this experience only added to my stress. At over $600 for two nights, this was not the standard I expected. I hope the hotel takes this feedback seriously and works to improve both the quality of its rooms and the professionalism of its staff. I also hope to receive written confirmation of my refund as soon as possible.
May 26, 2025 · Shernell CookeStayed for the second time at this property. It’s was chosen for a family event. The room was standard issue courtyard. Clean and bed was fine. But there is a lack of attention and training in this hotel. Shower handle had a problem. Front desk staff nice and politely but sent me up twice with keys that didn’t work. Left room at 8 am and came back after 2 pm room still wasn’t clean. I needed a nap so put out DND sign. When I woke up called down to get clean towels Still waiting over an hour later. No towels despite calling a second time and the answer was “What they didn’t bring the towels?” Also came back to the hotel one night around 11 pm. Stepped off the floor to clouds of weed permeating the entire floor. So thick you could see it hanging in the hallway. . Had to put towel beneath my door. I’m highly allergic. Called down to have them come up and find out who is smoking in a non smoking hotel. (My objection is. not that they are smoking weed just they are smoking in their room period. They should go outside. . Had a terrible night breathing. In the am went to front desk to discuss and to get them to do something. They smiled and apologized and did nothing. Shame on the manager who clearly doesn’t understand how to train the staff. This hotel is too expensive per night for it to be so bad. Or bear the Marriott name. Sadly few choices in the area. Marriott corporate should investigate. This property is not up to par.

May 20, 2025 · Malek Asfar1st and probably the last time I will ever stay at a Courtyard. The only good thing I can say is that the room was clean and it smelled nice. Booked 2 rooms for 3 nights. 1 of the rooms was never serviced the entire time we were there, even after asking twice for them to service it. Had to go to the front desk to ask for towels and coffee after I called and waited 45 min before hand. Receptionist at night was nice but they were short staffed and she was the only one working the front desk. So long line / wait to check-in, to purchase stuff from the market and for anything else you needed. The morning staff was eating at the front desk and did not greet or say anything to people coming and going. The Indoor pool was out of service which was a big let down for us. They said we could use the pool at the hotel next door but it was raining too much and cold out to have to walk over there. This should have been indicated on the hotels website because I would not have booked there had I known this. No breakfast included even though it said it was online. They didn’t even have a complimentary coffee station. They gave us 1 bottled water per room for each room, so 2 bottled waters for the 4 of us for 3 nights. They also charge you an extra $50 per night per room in advance in case you get something from their little market and said they will refund it if not used… also, not advertised when booking online. I overheard other customers complaining about the same stuff. I will take my business elsewhere. What a joke.
