Hampton Inn & Suites Yonkers Introduce
For local users in and around Yonkers, NY, considering accommodation options for various purposes—be it a staycation, hosting out-of-town guests, or a business trip—the Hampton Inn & Suites Yonkers presents itself as a prominent choice. Located at 160 Corporate Blvd, Yonkers, NY 10701, USA, this hotel falls under the broader category of "Scenic Spot" when viewed as a base from which to explore local attractions or enjoy a temporary change of scenery. While not a scenic landmark itself, a hotel's role as a "Scenic Spot" lies in its ability to provide comfort, convenience, and access to nearby points of interest, effectively serving as a hub for local exploration and relaxation. The hotel can be reached via phone at (914) 377-1144 or mobile at +1 914-377-1144.
The environment of Hampton Inn & Suites Yonkers is typical of a modern corporate boulevard hotel. It is situated in an area that caters to both business and leisure travelers, offering accessibility to major roadways and potentially local businesses. One reviewer noted that the "location was good for me but that's subjective to your plans," suggesting that while it might not be centrally located for all types of tourism, its position on Corporate Blvd likely offers convenient access for certain itineraries. This type of environment often provides a sense of quiet and professionalism, away from the immediate hustle and bustle of downtown areas, yet still connected to urban conveniences. The interior environment of the hotel, as highlighted in some reviews, can be a positive aspect. One reviewer praised that "the room was modern and very clean. Even the hallways of the hotel smells fresh and pleasant," indicating a generally well-maintained and appealing atmosphere within the property.
However, the environment can also present challenges. A detailed negative review mentioned that "The hallways were uncomfortably hot with no air conditioning," which can significantly impact guest comfort and the working conditions for staff. This suggests a potential inconsistency in environmental control, particularly in common areas, which can detract from the overall guest experience. This is an important consideration for local users, especially during warmer months, as it speaks to the consistency of comfort throughout the hotel premises.
In terms of services and features, Hampton Inn & Suites is a well-known brand, generally associated with a certain standard of amenities. Common features typically include complimentary breakfast, Wi-Fi, and often a swimming pool and fitness center. Customer reviews provide insights into these offerings. The complimentary breakfast is a feature, though one guest expressed disappointment with the hours, stating, "For a holiday weekend, I expected later breakfast hours, but they kept the usual early schedule." This indicates that while breakfast is provided, its timing might not always align with guests' expectations, particularly on special occasions.
The hotel's pool is another key feature, often a draw for families. However, a significant issue was raised regarding misleading pool hours: "The pool was advertised as open from 9am–10pm, but it closed at 9pm. My boys planned to go for a swim at 8:30pm and were extremely disappointed. Even worse, the next day (Memorial Day), the pool didn’t open until 4pm." Such discrepancies in advertised versus actual hours can lead to considerable frustration and disappointment, especially for families planning their activities around these amenities. This highlights a need for the hotel to ensure accurate communication regarding its operating hours for all facilities.
Room quality and cleanliness are paramount features. One reviewer found their "room was modern and very clean," contributing to a positive stay. Conversely, another guest reported a "disgusting" experience in a suite where, upon pulling out the sofa bed, they "found a centipede and hair on the sheets." This stark contrast in cleanliness experiences suggests potential inconsistencies in housekeeping standards, which is a critical concern for any accommodation. Issues such as late check-in, as reported by one guest whose "rooms weren’t ready at the standard check-in time," also affect the initial guest experience and reflect on the hotel's operational efficiency.
Regarding parking, a point of contention for one guest was the "ridiculous Parking Fee: Charging for parking in an open lot, especially when there’s plenty of surrounding free parking, makes no sense. This felt like an unnecessary way to squeeze more money out of guests." This suggests that while parking is available, the imposition of a fee in a potentially ample parking environment might be perceived negatively by guests, adding an unexpected cost to their stay. This is a crucial piece of information for local users who might be accustomed to free parking in similar areas.
Despite the challenges, the staff consistently receives positive feedback. One reviewer gave the hotel two stars instead of one "because the staff were genuinely kind and did their best to accommodate us. They were the one bright spot in an otherwise very disappointing stay." Another reviewer echoed this sentiment, stating, "Both young woman we interacted with at the front desk were super professional and treated us with a generous touch rather than a transaction. The breakfast host was a sweetheart." This indicates that while operational or facility-related issues may arise, the hotel's human element, particularly the professionalism and kindness of its staff, is a significant strength and a key factor in guest satisfaction.
Promotional information for Hampton Inn & Suites Yonkers would typically emphasize its brand recognition, consistent amenities like complimentary breakfast and a pool, and its suitability for various travel needs. For local users, its strategic location on Corporate Blvd might be highlighted for its convenience to certain areas of Yonkers or nearby businesses. The positive aspects of clean, modern rooms and professional staff are strong selling points that would likely be featured in any promotional materials, appealing to guests looking for reliable service and a comfortable stay. However, potential guests should be aware of the reported inconsistencies in amenity hours, cleanliness of certain room aspects, and the parking fee, which might influence their decision-making process. The hotel's ability to serve as a convenient and comfortable base for exploring Yonkers, or simply for a local stay, is its primary promotional angle, leveraging its brand promise of a reliable experience despite the noted areas for improvement.

Hampton Inn & Suites Yonkers Reviews
I’ve always stayed at this hotel and had good experiences, but this time was extremely disappointing. I booked two rooms for my family over Memorial Day weekend (Sunday to Monday), and almost everything went wrong.1. Late Check-In: Our rooms weren’t ready at the standard check-in time, which was frustrating2. Unclean Suite: When we arrived in one of the suites and pulled out the sofa bed, we found a centipede and hair on the sheets—absolutely disgusting.3. Misleading Pool Hours: The pool was advertised as open from 9am–10pm, but it closed at 9pm. My boys planned to go for a swim at 8:30pm and were extremely disappointed. Even worse, the next day (Memorial Day), the pool didn’t open until 4pm.4. Inconvenient Breakfast Hours: For a holiday weekend, I expected later breakfast hours, but they kept the usual early schedule.5. Overheated Hallways: The hallways were uncomfortably hot with no air conditioning. I really felt for the staff and cleaning crew having to work in those conditions.6. Ridiculous Parking Fee: Charging for parking in an open lot, especially when there’s plenty of surrounding free parking, makes no sense. This felt like an unnecessary way to squeeze more money out of guests. The only reason I’m giving this 2 stars instead of 1 is because the staff were genuinely kind and did their best to accommodate us. They were the one bright spot in an otherwise very disappointing stay.

Feb 16, 2025 · Sabrina AbdelsayedI stayed in this hotel for 3 nights.Rooms: The room was clean and wide. Nothing to complain about. Everything was positive. Also the Lobby is nice and clean.Service: We reached the hotel at 15:00 at the check-in time, but the room was not ready yet. Thanks to the staff that took care of it directly. We to wait only for a couple of minutes; Not a major issue. Nothing to complain regarding breakfast, 10/10. The gym is not bad. I used it twice. The pool is kinda small and the room is very damp, I had acid reflux just after 15 minutes, so maybe they can do something about the humidity.Location: Nice area, It is about 20 min max by car from the subway (in case you are going to downtown NYC). Also there is Costco nearby.Overall, I enjoyed the experience there and recommend the hotel.
Jan 19, 2025 · Elias NaderI'd probably never stay here again. The room is nice and hotel is clean and nice. But I had to be moved as soon as I checked in. The entire hallway and my room smelled like weed and cigarettes. Absolutely disgusting. Supposed to be a non smoking hotel. Not! Definitely not enforced. And it's extremely loud. I've slept very little my entire stay. Nonstop doors slamming all hours of the night. And above my room constant banging and sounds like kids running around. Miserable stay. To say the least. Very disappointed!!!
