In the vibrant landscape of The Bronx, green spaces are essential for community life, offering residents a place to relax, play, and connect with their neighbors. The Crotona Parkway Malls, stretching along Crotona Parkway with a notable entry point at 2024 Mohegan Ave, serves as a significant local park within the borough. It’s more than just a thoroughfare; it's a series of inviting green spaces that contribute to the quality of life for families and individuals in the surrounding neighborhoods.
The park's unique design as "malls" – referring to the landscaped median strips of a wide boulevard – provides a distinct urban park experience. This structure offers a pleasant environment for various activities, from leisurely strolls to community gatherings. One satisfied visitor praises it as "My favorite little park to take pictures," highlighting its aesthetic appeal and suitability for capturing everyday moments. This suggests that despite its urban setting, it provides picturesque spots that residents cherish.
Crotona Parkway Malls is a versatile park, accommodating diverse needs. It's noted for being "fenced-in, so kids can play safely and ride their bikes," a crucial feature for parents in a city environment. Additionally, it's recognized as a "great little park for dog-walking," making it a valuable resource for pet owners. The park also buzzes with social life, with "Picnics and barbecues often done here with music and dancing!" This paints a picture of a lively, community-focused space where celebration and connection are commonplace. While some feedback points to areas for improvement in cleanliness, the inherent value of Crotona Parkway Malls as a local hub for recreation and community bonding remains undeniable for Bronx residents.
Crotona Parkway Malls is strategically located in The Bronx, specifically centered around Crotona Parkway, with a prominent access point at 2024 Mohegan Ave, Bronx, NY 10460, USA. This extensive green space stretches along the parkway, making it a highly visible and accessible amenity for numerous surrounding neighborhoods in The Bronx, including Crotona, West Farms, and Belmont. Its design as a series of landscaped median strips means it runs through a significant residential corridor, placing it directly within reach of thousands of local residents.
Accessibility to Crotona Parkway Malls is well-supported by New York City's comprehensive public transportation network. While these are challenges, any future initiatives by NYC Parks to address these concerns and improve cleanliness and amenities would be considered significant "special offers" and enhancements for the community, making the park even more desirable. For current park hours, rules, or to report maintenance issues, residents should refer to NYC Parks official channels.
As a public park managed by NYC Parks, Crotona Parkway Malls does not have a direct, dedicated phone number or on-site office. For general inquiries, reporting issues, or seeking information about park management, the appropriate contact is the City of New York Parks & Recreation Department.

Crotona Parkway Malls Reviews
My favorite little park to take pictures… but can be dirty sometimes. Needs to be cleaned more often…It is fenced-in, so kids can play safely and ride their bikes. It is also a great little park for dog-walking. Picnics and barbecues are often done here with music and dancing! There are no bathrooms though…
Jul 23, 2023 · Kelechi UkaomaIts BLAH. Many places to sit, play checkers, some even do barbecues, but the bronx needs to do better taking care and making their public property desirable. They can't expect the people to care if the city doesn't care. Theres trash and dog poop at times. It's ok park, but not a place non locals hang out
Aug 02, 2019 · Ashley R.It's quiet and relaxed except for traffic. I saw people bbqing and loud music in some areas. I believe that it is a good place to rest if you are walking to or from the bronx zoo
Aug 21, 2019 · Aronya WExcellent food, if you don't speak Spanish they're not that friendly to you but they will take your money LOL at the time I went here, I live right down the block oh, this is not a tourist spot! You will get robbed if you go at night!
Aug 28, 2019 · Lynn LouisI live just few steps off the park. It is full of Dominican and Puertorican culture and heritage... Alive.Salsa music got a niche there. It requires more attention from the NYC reshaping its landscape and rethinking the area as a community hub.
