Delz Bed & Breakfast Introduce
When planning a visit to the vibrant borough of Brooklyn, or perhaps looking for an extended stay solution, finding the right accommodation can significantly enhance your experience. While the name "Delz Bed & Breakfast" might conjure images of traditional innkeeping with a hearty morning meal prepared for you, it’s important for New Yorkers, and indeed all visitors, to understand its unique approach to hospitality. Delz Bed & Breakfast operates more like a self-contained lodging option, offering individual rooms within a shared living environment. This setup is particularly appealing to those who value practicality, affordability, and a more independent style of travel.
Unlike a conventional bed and breakfast where breakfast is typically provided and served, Delz Bed & Breakfast offers a "self-service" model for meals. This means guests have access to a shared kitchen where they can prepare their own breakfast and other meals, providing flexibility and often leading to cost savings. The concept here leans towards a comfortable, dormitory-style setup, where private rooms are complemented by shared common areas, including bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. This makes Delz Bed & Breakfast an excellent choice for budget-conscious travelers, solo adventurers, or even small groups who are comfortable with a communal living experience. It provides a clean, functional, and friendly base from which to explore everything New York City has to offer, without the hefty price tag often associated with Manhattan hotels.
Delz Bed & Breakfast is strategically located at 8914 Glenwood Rd, Brooklyn, NY 11236, USA. This address places it within the dynamic and diverse neighborhood of East Flatbush, Brooklyn. One of the primary advantages of this location is its excellent accessibility to public transportation, a crucial factor for anyone navigating New York City. Guests will be pleased to know that the property is just a short walk, approximately six minutes, from a local railway station. This train line provides a direct and efficient route straight into the heart of Manhattan, making it incredibly convenient for those looking to explore iconic landmarks, attend business meetings, or enjoy the city's renowned cultural scene.
Beyond its proximity to Manhattan, the immediate neighborhood surrounding Delz Bed & Breakfast offers a sense of local community and security. Many visitors have highlighted feeling safe and comfortable walking through the area, even late in the evening. This sense of security is invaluable, particularly for travelers who might be unfamiliar with the city. The location in East Flatbush also provides an authentic Brooklyn experience, allowing guests to immerse themselves in local life, discover neighborhood eateries, and experience a different facet of New York City away from the bustling tourist hubs. Whether you're commuting for work or leisure, the convenient location and reliable public transport connections make Delz Bed & Breakfast an attractive option for anyone visiting the city.

Delz Bed & Breakfast Reviews
This "bed and breakfast" is slightly deceiving. Usually bed and breakfasts have a breakfast for you. I never even saw Gloria. This one is "self contained" it's basically a dorm. You get a room and also share the bathroom and kitchen with the people in your room and others staying there in the hotel. We ended up sharing with five other people. You also have to make your own breakfast. This overall experience was not what I expected it to be at all. If that's what you're looking for its great. But if you're looking for a nice bed and breakfast that is actually a bed and breakfast this isn't the place for you.
Jun 06, 2016 · Rebecca BarkerEven though a humble external expression of the house, the room was very clean and with what you need. Sharing clean and practical bathroom with one other room.Free WiFi. Self service on the kitchen with breakfast - very practical.6 minutes walk to the railway which brings you right into Manhattan. The neighborhood felt very safe to walk through - even close to midnight, Friday evening.Maybe most important - Gloria is very nice and helpful!I have already booked the next stay here - after coming back from a visit to Niagara Falls!
Jun 09, 2015 · Kjell Arne RekaaTERRIBLE. AVOID. Stayed there 2 nights ago with my wife. Hard to find, and when we talked to the lady on her phone to try and find the place and she was very rude. She was not expecting us, even though we had made a reservation the day before. We waited in the dark for her for 40 minutes in a bad part of Brooklyn. We were getting haggled by a guy right outside the gated apartment right before she showed up and I'm not sure what would've happened if she would've taken any longer. We finally got in, and then had to share a bathroom and space with 4 other men. These guys were let in a 2:30 AM by the same lady who let us in at 11 PM. They were terribly loud and kept trying to get into our room because... I don't know, maybe they were exploring or didn't know where their room was. She was with them throughout the night, and I came out a couple times to ask them to keep it down. Anyways, I didn't sleep from 2:30 AM till about 5 AM because they were so loud off and on. You could hear everything they were doing and I think they were smoking weed the whole time around the house while we were there. Extremely unprofessional and terrible place to stay. Also pictures are misleading. The place is not NEARLY that nice. Only nice things I can say: we didn't see any cockroaches, the water was warm and we had to make our own breakfast from what was there, but there was stuff to eat at least which is the only reason I'm not giving this review a 100% terrible review. Just be careful. Not safe.
Feb 07, 2019 · Jacob NolanI spent 7 days here and I must admit, I was very reluctant to. From the images posted on website, I anticipated rodents and bed bugs infestation. The images posted are very misleading and is doing no justice for the website. The images looks quite vintage, furniture and accessories are also very outdated. However, my room was accentuated with a few modern pieces. To my surprise, upon entering my room is very impressed. The room was very over priced, extremely tiny and wasn't conducive for 2 persons. Bed excessively uncomfortable and lean. I had to ensure my boyfriend slept at the end to prevent me from rolling off. However, the room was clean and airy.I didn't like the fact that I had to share bathroom with complete strangers. The name BED AND BREAKFAST should be eliminated (misleading information). From my knowledge bed and breakfast means 'lodging where guests are catered to'.● Continental breakfast is prepared and and made available within certain hours (eggs, sausages, toast, cereal, teas, cold beverages). Here, all these food items listed were placed in the refrigerator and on the dining table for us to prepare●Rooms cleaned and bed linens changed every or every other day. None of this happened. Not once! The name MUST be changed and replaced with either word DORM or HOSTEL. US$95 per night is too much money to be sharing facilities and having to prepare breakfast and spread own bed. Also, guests have a right to know what they are getting for their money. Therefore, SHARED FACILITIES should be outlined clearly on the website. DON'T TRICK ME!!!Still on the topic of BATHROOM, the toilet doesn't work so properly. I find it quite distasteful having to flush and/or re flush after other occupants of the house (complete strangers).Door locks need to be changed. Each day I wasted at least 20 mins struggling to open doors with malfunctioning locks.Would I stay there again?MaybeWhy?●The house is kept clean●towel stock replenished●I see signs that the bathroom is maintained and cleaned everyday (I THINK!!)●perfect location for persons wanting to commute via public transportationDespite all the pros mentioned, i felt robbed and cheated.
Oct 08, 2016 · Slim SlimmazVery cozy Bed and Breakfast. They provide food for you, and if you would like to cook yourself you have that option too! It is a few blocks away from the L subway which will take you into Manhattan. It is also very close to JFK airport which is great (you can take the tram and subway or get a cab which is between $30-$40 from/to JFK airport). Gloria and Delon are very hospitable.
