Greenporter Hotel Reviews
Really nice place in Greenport. Location is great, walking distance to restaurants and North Ferry. I was there during the off peak season, it was a bit slow but the staff is fantastic! Super friendly.Room was a little dated but you can see they are slowly making improvements. My particular room definitely needed a dresser to put clothes in. All there was in the room was an open closet with a shelf on top.One annoying thing for me personally was the AC unit, it didn’t have an auto setting so it ran all night and kept me up.Overall it’s a great place and I would definitely come back again.
Sep 16, 2024 · Paulina TrzepaczI adore this boutique hotel. The staff are personable yet professional (Casainia was so helpful and lovely). The pool is clean, the hotel is flooded with natural light, the little gym does the job, the coffee bar and small breakfast menu are fantastic – the homemade cookies are wow factor. The hotel is perfectly positioned to walk to all the lovely nearby restaurants and I was impressed the eco re-fill toiletries were Grown Alchemist (a high quality clean and natural brand).10/10
Sep 22, 2024 · Olivia AdamsFantastic spot with a lot of charm. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and well equipped, and the vibe charming and vintage. The location could not have been better too- 2 minute walk to the center of greenport where all the restaurants and docks are. Really enjoyed my stay!
Sep 06, 2024 · Sarah HillWe went for the night for our anniversary. I absolutely loved it! Especially for the price! Pool and hot tub still open on a gorgeous October day! Everyone very friendly and efficient. Had a great time.
Oct 12, 2024 · Toni NuccioGreenporter is a very nice hotel. My room was very clean, modern and well-maintained. They have a nice pool and the whole place appears to be run by a handful of cheerful European college students here on work visas who all speak excellent English. The bed was fine but I had to ask for a lighter blanket. Now for the stuff I didn't like. There's no coffee pot. Every coffee shop in town opens at 7:00 and I wake up at 6:00 or earlier. Anthony Melchiorri of Hotel Impossible says that a coffee pot is one of the most requested amenities in a hotel, so why don't they have them here? Next: I wish I had requested a room without a door connecting the room next to me because I could hear every conversation and every sound my next door neighbors and their children made. Their children are screaming and crying at this very moment and banging on the door and it's almost like they're in my room with me. Also, there's no microwave. Any leftovers will have to be eaten cold. The room is very sparsely furnished and decorated. They might have benefited from the advice of a decorator. The lighting was terrible. Some of the bulbs were orange. There was only one waste basket and it had no plastic liner. I had to provide my own. The shower head was a strange contraption that was hard to aim and the water pressure was like a fire hose. They should just get a simple wand, and turn down the pressure. The AC unit was very powerful and didn't have a low setting so it really roared when it was on. There were no chairs on the deck outside my door where I could sit for an hour and watch the sun rise while I waited for the coffee shops to open, so I dragged my desk chair outside. These things might seem like nitpicking but when you pay over $300 a night you kind of expect something a cut above, and many of these things are easy and cheap to fix. I'm sure many people would not be bothered by the things I mentioned and to them I say, go for it, it's a nice hotel otherwise.
