HOTEL SUNRISE Introduce
New Yorkers are always on the go, whether it's for a quick business trip across boroughs, visiting family, or needing a convenient base for a short staycation within the city. Finding a suitable hotel that balances location, accessibility, and affordability can be a challenge. In the heart of Brooklyn, HOTEL SUNRISE aims to offer a practical solution for those seeking basic accommodation. This article will provide an overview of HOTEL SUNRISE, detailing its location, services, and what local users can expect.
HOTEL SUNRISE is a modest hotel situated in Brooklyn, New York. It caters to travelers and locals alike who are looking for a straightforward place to stay without excessive frills. As a budget-friendly option, it focuses on providing essential lodging needs. While it might not boast luxurious amenities, its primary appeal lies in its competitive pricing and its position within a vibrant Brooklyn neighborhood. It's the kind of place that understands the need for a simple, convenient base when exploring the diverse offerings of the borough or needing a temporary residence.
However, it's important for potential guests to be aware of the experiences shared by previous visitors. Some past reviews have highlighted significant concerns regarding cleanliness, specifically mentioning issues with roaches and bedbugs in rooms, as well as concerns about the condition of towels and wash rags. There have also been mentions of the hotel being used for immigration stays, which may alter the general ambiance for some guests. Additionally, reports of unhelpful or rude front desk staff regarding these issues have been noted. These points are crucial for setting realistic expectations for those considering a stay at HOTEL SUNRISE.
HOTEL SUNRISE is located at 1705 Linden Blvd, Brooklyn, NY 11212, USA. This address places it within a dynamic and easily accessible part of Brooklyn. Linden Boulevard is a significant thoroughfare, connecting various neighborhoods and providing routes to other parts of the city.
For New Yorkers relying on public transportation, the hotel's location offers reasonable accessibility. While it's not directly adjacent to major subway hubs, several bus lines likely operate along Linden Boulevard, providing connections to subway stations or other key areas in Brooklyn. It's always advisable to check the latest MTA schedules and maps for the most efficient routes from your specific starting point. If you're driving, the proximity to major roads and parkways in Brooklyn could be a benefit, though navigating New York City traffic and finding parking can always be a consideration. The area is generally considered a residential and commercial zone, offering some local conveniences within walking distance, such as eateries or small shops.
Based on available information, HOTEL SUNRISE provides fundamental services aimed at a no-frills stay. While specific details can be limited for budget-friendly establishments, here are the generally expected services:
- 24-Hour Front Desk: For check-ins, check-outs, and general inquiries.
- Basic Room Amenities: Typically include a bed, private bathroom, and possibly a television.
- Housekeeping: Daily or regular cleaning service, though past reviews suggest varying levels of satisfaction with cleanliness.
- Telephone: Likely available in rooms for local calls.
- Air Conditioning: Essential for comfort, especially during warmer months.
- Free WiFi: Often a standard offering to keep guests connected.
It is important to note that guests should confirm specific amenity availability directly with the hotel prior to booking, especially considering the diverse experiences reported in reviews.
Given the nature of a budget hotel, the "features" often revolve around practicality and convenience rather than extensive luxury. For HOTEL SUNRISE, the key highlights, especially for a local New Yorker, would likely be:
- Affordable Accommodation: Generally positioned as a cost-effective choice for a night or a short stay.
- Brooklyn Location: Provides a base to explore local Brooklyn neighborhoods or for those needing to be in this specific part of the borough.
- Accessibility to Local Transport: Proximity to bus routes and potential connections to subway lines, making it feasible to get around.
- Simplicity: Offers a basic lodging experience without unnecessary additional costs.
However, it's crucial to reiterate the customer feedback regarding significant issues. Past guests have reported the presence of roaches and bedbugs, and concerns about the cleanliness of towels and washcloths. These are serious points that significantly impact the perceived highlights and overall experience of a stay. The hotel has also been described as having been converted into an immigration stay, which might alter the environment and potentially the services offered. Potential guests should strongly consider these points when evaluating the features of the hotel.
Information on specific, ongoing promotions or special offers for HOTEL SUNRISE is not consistently available through general public searches. Budget hotels often rely on competitive baseline pricing rather than elaborate promotional campaigns. However, it's always recommended to:
- Check Online Travel Agencies (OTAs): Websites like Expedia, Booking.com, or Kayak often list special deals, discounts, or packages for various hotel stays.
- Direct Inquiry: Contacting the hotel directly by phone might reveal any unadvertised specials or preferred rates, especially for longer stays or group bookings.
- Seasonal Rates: Prices may vary based on the season, local events, or demand. Booking in advance or during off-peak times could potentially offer better rates.
Given the nature of the reported customer issues, it is prudent to prioritize value and transparency when looking for any offers.

For New Yorkers, HOTEL SUNRISE could be considered suitable for a very specific type of local need: primarily as a budget-conscious option for a short-term stay within Brooklyn where the primary goal is simply a place to sleep. If you need to be in the immediate vicinity of Linden Boulevard for a specific reason – perhaps visiting family, attending a local event, or requiring temporary lodging due to apartment renovations – and your priority is strictly cost over comfort or amenities, this hotel might appear on your radar. Its accessibility via local transportation also means that those without a car could potentially reach it.
However, it is paramount for any local considering HOTEL SUNRISE to proceed with extreme caution and with full awareness of the extensive negative feedback regarding cleanliness and guest experience. The numerous reports of roaches, bedbugs, dirty linens, and unhelpful staff are significant red flags that cannot be overlooked. For many New Yorkers, a comfortable and clean environment, even for a short stay, is a basic expectation. While the price point might seem attractive, the potential for a highly unsatisfactory and uncomfortable experience, as reported by numerous past guests, should be a major deterrent. If considering this hotel, it would be advisable to manage expectations carefully and perhaps call directly to inquire about recent efforts to address the very serious issues raised in customer reviews. Ultimately, while its location offers a degree of local convenience, the documented cleanliness issues make it a difficult recommendation for most New Yorkers seeking a pleasant and worry-free stay.

HOTEL SUNRISE Reviews
DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! Rooms has roaches and bedbugs. I saw roaches in the bathroom and bedbugs on the bed. I went down to inform the front desk and he was very rude and unbothered by it. I asked for a refund and he refused to give me one. He offered to change my room but under those conditions who would want to stay there. The towels and wash rags had hair stuck on them. Overall the hotel is dirty

Mar 27, 2025 · Kimberly Jean-Gilles“DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR HOUSE BED BUGS FREE” I repeat, it’s not joke or trying to down ply them. It’s just a fact, Sunrise hotel is full of bed bugs and roaches. And to top it off, the night shift crew are very rude when you exposed them. He was mad because I told him about the bed bugs in front of other customers. Hope they fix all the issues that hotel comes with. Horrible experience and very rude and horrible customer service from the front desk staff.
Aug 30, 2021 · Ivenson MeralusI cant comment on the rooms aince i was unable to get one. The front desk staff were very rude and refused us (me and my friend) a room. He told us there was no rooms available but while we were waiting for a cab we seen the person behind us get a room. He also told a few other ppl before us there wasnt a room so ill assume he picks and chooses who gets a room.
Jan 21, 2019 · Ashlyn JacksonThis place has bed bugs and it wasn’t until I woke up and noticed it crawling by the pillow. I went to tell the front desk staff. They were very rude and he insinuated I brought them there. He was repeatedly insulting and refuse to correct the matter. Needless to say I hope no one ever stays here.
