For those of us navigating the bustling travel hub that is JFK, finding a truly comfortable and clean place to rest can be a challenge. As one recent guest noted, it’s a "Solid Option Near JFK" that "definitely delivered on comfort and convenience." This hotel stands out for its modern design, spacious rooms, and a welcoming atmosphere, even while being connected to the vibrant Resorts World Casino. What’s more, despite the casino connection, guests frequently report that the hotel itself remains "very quiet," ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. It’s a versatile choice, whether you're a business traveler needing efficient amenities, a family looking for a comfortable layover spot, or a local seeking a comfortable base with entertainment just steps away.
The Hyatt Regency JFK Airport at Resorts World New York is strategically located at 110-00 Rockaway Blvd, Jamaica, NY 11420, USA. This address places it directly adjacent to the Resorts World Casino New York City, and importantly, within close proximity to John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK).
For New Yorkers, accessibility to this hotel is a key advantage. While it's not directly connected to JFK's terminals like the TWA Hotel, it offers a solid balance of convenience and value. A taxi or rideshare from JFK typically takes about 15-20 minutes, with an estimated cost of $25-35 each way, as noted by recent guests. This makes it a practical choice for those with early morning departures or late-night arrivals. Parking is also a significant plus for locals. The hotel offers self-parking, with free parking available on-site, a feature that's often part of the destination fee. For those planning to utilize long-term parking near JFK, the hotel's proximity to such facilities is also very convenient.
Beyond driving, the hotel is also accessible via public transportation, though with some specific considerations. The Q37 bus stops directly inside the Resorts World NYC property, connecting to the E and F subway lines at Kew Gardens/Union Turnpike. From JFK, travelers can take the AirTrain to the Aqueduct Racetrack station (accessible via the A-train line). There's a skybridge connecting the Aqueduct Racetrack station directly to the casino and hotel. For those arriving at Jamaica, a free shuttle service is available from the Jamaica Bus Depot to the hotel/casino from 10 a.m. to midnight. While one review mentioned some quirks with public transit only running one way to the hotel from the airport, the hotel staff are reportedly very helpful in assisting guests with arranging car services for airport departures. This multi-faceted accessibility makes the Hyatt Regency a highly viable option for various travel needs.

Hyatt Regency JFK Airport at Resorts World New York Reviews
Solid Option Near JFK — Comfortable Stay with a Few QuirksI had a late layover at JFK and was looking for a reliable hotel nearby to get a good night’s sleep. It’s tough finding quality accommodations around JFK, but the Hyatt Regency at Resorts World definitely delivered on comfort and convenience. The hotel is about a 15–20 minute taxi ride from the airport (budget about $25–35 each way). While it’s not directly connected to JFK like the TWA Hotel, it’s significantly more affordable and still a solid choice. The property is fairly new, clean, and connected to the Resorts World Casino—but don’t worry, it was very quiet during my stay. The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming, even thanking me for my World of Hyatt status at check-in. I requested a few extra items for the room, and they were delivered quickly, which I appreciated after a long travel day.A couple of drawbacks: the TV in my room didn’t work, and since I arrived late, it wasn’t worth calling anyone to fix it. Also, I was disappointed to see they’ve moved away from the Le Labo bath products, which gave the hotel a touch of luxury. The new refillable toiletries feel a bit cheap by comparison. They also charge a destination fee—which seems unnecessary for an airport hotel (this isn’t Las Vegas).Despite those small issues, I’d stay here again if I needed to be near JFK. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and the gym was well-equipped. All in all, a good option for travelers needing a place to recharge near the airport.
Apr 14, 2025 · Jonathan FoulkThe staff are super friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean comfortable and large. Overall great experience. We were staying to leave at JFK the next morning. Note there isn’t easy transportation to the airport but the front desk will assist you getting a car if needed. We drove and were planning to park at long term parking which is super close and easy. Overall very happy with our stay
Apr 07, 2025 · Colleen KI stayed at the Hyatt Regency for one night as an Explorist member and was extremely disappointed. I asked multiple times for the couch bed to be set up, but when I returned to the room, it was clear nothing had been done. Even worse, I found a used slipper right next to the bed, and the clean sheets they were supposed to put on were still folded on the table. This is absolutely gross and unhygienic. For a hotel of this caliber, this level of service is unacceptable. To make matters worse, they didn’t do anything to address or apologize for the incident until we escalated . They seriously need to improve their housekeeping and customer service. Very disappointing experience.
May 26, 2025 · Roma DesaiSaw a different user who spoke highly of this hotel, comparing it to TWA. This is far from my experience. TWA is usually very friendly, with fair rates for military and for those who prebook. I stay with Hyatt often so this level of substandard service was shocking. My mom asked for assistance with securing a room for the night, only to be told multiple times to go do it herself, especially since she wanted to do the military rate. Upon attempting to make the reservation herself, she accidentally booked for the wrong night. The agent was incredibly unhelpful, rude, and short. I immediately made my concerns known to the front desk who was apologetic and insisted that she would talk to the associate, but the day before Mother’s Day… to have my mother treated so rude… this is not the property to stay at if you want high quality service. When she asked about the restaurant options, the associate was curt and blunt to her.Not letting the check in process phase us, we checked into our rooms. Most of the restaurants were closed on site, and the other occupants on the floor were so loud throughout the night, it made it hard to sleep. I had to call multiple times to ask the front desk/security to check in on guests who seemed to be having full on conversations in the hallway at midnight. We ended up leaving at 4:00am because we were so dissatisfied with the experience. If you are booking this property expecting something like TWA, STAY AWAY. I was drawn to this property due to restaurant selection and proximity to JFK, both of which were not worth it for the price we paid at comparable properties. This is not a good property for families or travelers with early flights in the morning who want a good nights rest. The cleaning crew did a fantastic job so at least housekeeping is good. But genuinely not worth the price, the hospitality is not up to normal Hyatt standards, and the rudeness by front desk associates and other guests make this more of a “casino hotel” for those who enjoy that type of stay.I brought my mother here and this was genuinely a joke. Please stay away from this property.
May 11, 2025 · Brianna CasserlyI stayed the night due to my return flight being cancelled as I was traveling on a business trip (all other hotels near & around JFK were sold out per our travel agency). I'm grateful Hyatt had availability. Room Rate $433 for the night (not including NY tax). The good: my room awesome which was the best part of my stay. Unfortunately the casino was closed in the morning. I didn't get to visit the casino. The bad: the check-in at the Hyatt was the worst I have ever encountered. My day started at 3AM. It was a very long day (fly in/fly out same day). Lots of walking and standing. My return flight was delayed and cancelled. My flight from JFK was cancelled. I was hoping for a friendly, speedy, no bs check-in. When I arrived at the Hyatt check-in counter around 11:30 PM, I stood in line again. There was one couple ahead of me with 3 clerks behind the counter. The first clerk was helping the couple in-front of me, the other 2 clerks were talking with each other with clip boards in their hands. There was no friendly "we'll be right with you", nothing. I didn't know what they were doing, they didn't appear to be working the front desk. I wanted to hold my place in-line and check-in. After standing and walking all day and again standing and waiting at the Hyatt, I decided to sit down on the floor to hold my spot in-line. After a few minutes, someone from the Hyatt (I think a security guy) told me to get up and sit at one of the lobby chairs and he will let me know when a clerk is available. I said, "why can't I sit here"? "I've been waiting a long time and I don't want to lose my place in-line." He said "you can sit there but we would rather you sit in a chair and I'll let you know when the next clerk is available." I would rather sit on the floor and save my spot in-line. 11:30 PM $433 a night and I had a reservation! I just wanted to check-in and get my room. Suddenly one of the clerks became available and she checked me in. She was very rude and acted like I was there for her. I finally got to my room around midnight. I was surprised at this type of service from the Hyatt.HYATT: "Our goal is to provide every guest with an exceptional stay, and we are interested in any comments regarding your visit. Please let us know your thoughts at HyattRegencyJFK-QualityAssurance@RWNewYork.com." Perhaps they should remind staff of the Hyatt credo or have a self-check-in machine as an option. The room was awesome and the other staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. Thanks for reading.
