Metro Apartments Introduce
Welcome, New Yorkers and visitors alike, to a closer look at Metro Apartments, a noteworthy option for accommodation right in the vibrant pulse of Midtown Manhattan. When you're searching for a place to stay in New York City, whether it's for a short visit, a longer-term stay, or even for friends and family visiting from out of town, understanding your options is key. Metro Apartments offers a distinct alternative to traditional hotels, providing an apartment-style experience that often comes with more space and a different kind of comfort. Let's delve into what makes Metro Apartments a place worth considering for your next stay in our incredible city.
Located at 440 W 41st St, New York, NY 10036, USA, Metro Apartments places you firmly in the heart of the action. This prime Midtown West location means you're just a stone's throw away from some of New York's most iconic landmarks and bustling attractions. The convenience of this address cannot be overstated for anyone looking to immerse themselves in the energy of the city.
Accessibility is a major advantage for Metro Apartments. Situated close to the Port Authority Bus Terminal, it offers unparalleled access for those arriving by bus from various parts of the region. For subway riders, the proximity to multiple subway lines ensures easy connections to virtually anywhere in the five boroughs. Whether you're commuting to work, exploring cultural institutions, or heading to a Broadway show, getting around from Metro Apartments is remarkably straightforward. Major thoroughfares are easily accessible, and the area is well-served by taxis and ride-sharing services, making arrivals and departures hassle-free. For those who enjoy exploring on foot, Times Square is a mere ten-minute walk away, putting world-class entertainment, dining, and shopping practically at your doorstep. While the immediate vicinity of the Port Authority can be lively, especially with pedestrian traffic, it's a testament to the hyper-local experience you gain by staying in such a central location.
While Metro Apartments operates more as an apartment-style accommodation rather than a full-service hotel, it aims to provide a comfortable and functional stay for its guests. Based on publicly available information, here's a general overview of the services you might expect:
- Staff assistance: While not a traditional hotel concierge, staff are generally available to assist with inquiries and basic needs.
- Room amenities: Apartments are typically equipped with essential furnishings to facilitate a comfortable stay.
- Cleaning services: Rooms are maintained for cleanliness, ensuring a pleasant environment.
- Internet access: Free Wi-Fi is generally available in the reception area, with wired internet connections potentially available in rooms.
Metro Apartments, while not a luxury hotel, offers a unique set of features and highlights that can make it an attractive option, particularly for certain types of travelers or groups. Here are some of the key aspects that stand out:
- Apartment-style living: This is a significant differentiator, offering more space than a typical hotel room. This can be especially beneficial for groups, families, or those on longer stays who appreciate the ability to spread out.
- Spacious accommodations: Reviews suggest that the apartments can be quite spacious, which is a considerable advantage in a city where space often comes at a premium.
- Convenient location: Its proximity to Times Square, the Port Authority, and multiple subway lines is a major draw for exploring Manhattan and beyond.
- Value for money: For its central location and apartment-style offerings, Metro Apartments can present a good price-to-service ratio, making it an appealing choice for budget-conscious travelers or groups looking to maximize their travel funds without sacrificing central access.
- City views: Depending on the room, some guests have enjoyed views of iconic New York City landmarks, such as the Empire State Building, adding to the urban experience.
- Group-friendly: The larger living spaces make it particularly suitable for small groups of friends or families traveling together, allowing for more comfortable shared accommodation than multiple standard hotel rooms.

Metro Apartments Reviews
Quite average. It was smelly and they had over-sprayed some just as horrible fragrance to try and cover it up. The TV did not work not did the people care about fixing it though I asked several times. Also the "free wifi" is in the reception only and they have cable internet when you are in the room so you are tied to a small desk where this is located.Overall it appeared to be some horrible run down apartment they had tried fix up on the cheap with every possible corner cut. I didn't mind the location, which is a little run down with homeless people about, but that doesn't bother me and you could get around mid Manhattan easily with a short walk which was great. The traffic noise was bad in the morning and it has an overpass right next to the building so I would suggest if you stay here to get a room on an upper floor if you want to sleep in. The staff were nice but what really annoyed me was when I was leaving I asked them to book me a cab to the airport, which they did but it was a "private car" in a pretty bad state at almost twice the price of the fixed airport rate for cabs. I can only assume they did this for a kick back. All in all, I think you would be better off taking your chances elsewhere.1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.
Dec 22, 2011 · Angus ThompsonWe were a group of 5 friends including 2 couples and this was more than OK for the price we payed, the appartment was clean and spacious, the staff was nice and the location is very convenient (10 minutes walk from Times Square and close to Subway/Bus).So OK you don't get the service you can expect from a Hotel, but as it isn't one, I wouldn't charge them with that...It was a bit noisy as it is nearby the coach station but you are in NYC, so you can expect a little traffic noise... and we had a view on the Empire State Building which was nice !So overall, you can find cheaper, you can find better, but I doubt you can find a place that's both in the neighbourood... I'd say that the price to service ratio is very good and I would recommend that for small groups of friends who want to travel for quite cheap without bargaining on comfort.
May 13, 2015 · Antonin NOTTEAwful experience --- would not recommend to my worst enemy.First and foremost, they over-booked and failed to provide the room I had reserved and paid in-full for almost 1 month ahead of time. After being thoroughly unapologetic, they sent me on a goose chase through NYC to find another property they had arranged for me to stay in.Upon returning to this hotel, we were placed in a 'Deluxe' room which had an awful odor inside of it. We switched out of this room into another room and were initially happier as it appeared to smell better and look cleaner. This initial euphoria was quickly squashed when we noticed a nice sized cockroach crawling on the wall in the kitchenette, adjacent to the bed.Location is decent (in terms of being near Times Square) but I would honestly avoid this place like the plague. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.
Feb 19, 2014 · Harman SodhiAwful experienceI rented an apartment there for a year in 2016. I was supposed to receive a mail that has very important paperwork , the front desk received the envelope , when I went down to take it , it was open and empty. I asked the manager to look at the camera footage , she claimed she does not know the password. After few days she claimed that the footage was lost and accused the police officers of causing the loss of the footage when they came to the building to investigate. The manager Was very rude and unprofessional. I don’t recommend for anybody to stay in this building.
Aug 21, 2020 · Rasha ShahinI was in USA for business purpose. Stayed there spring 2014 . The apartment was quiet, clean and spacious, professional and friendly staff. Convenient location - few minutes walk from Times Square.
