DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel New York Times Square West Reviews
The no frills hotel is very average in every sense. Rooms were clean (albeit small). Services staff were nice and attentive but transactional. Elevators are a big problem as wait times become excessive. No simple cafe but a coffee shop next door is a great substitute. Great value for a simple sleep and shower stay.
Apr 21, 2025 · Todd HellmanThe location is great, you’re 2 minutes away from Times Square and you have a Starbucks right at the end of the street. The only downside is that there are a few homeless people on the street in front of the hotel. Jane at the front desk was the best and made sure my birthday wasn’t forgotten. We went to get dinner and when we came back the room was decorated and had a little note! The rooftop view is good but they only allow you to be there if you’re over 21. The thing I didn’t like was that we were 4 people and they kept putting only three towels, even when i had already contacted housekeeping the night before. The room is relatively small but that’s expected. We were on the 22nd floor and yes, the elevators do take a little time but it’s five minutes max, at least for us, but maybe because we used it outside of peak time hours. To conclude, the location is great and the hotel is good.
Apr 23, 2025 · Sofia LameiraThe stay was fine. The room was functional provided a decent place to sleep for a couple days. The location was perfect for a tourist and a person seeing a play on broadway. The staff was friendly enough, but they should have an ice machine on each floor. The kicker came when I checked out, and accidentally left my Apple Beats headphones in the room. I called as soon as I got to the airport. I had them the night before and didn’t leave my room. There is no way these headphones got up and walked away in the middle of the night. It’s more likely a housekeeping person didn’t turn them in. I was told by two different. Staffers MIA and Cole they would find them, contact me, and mail them back. No one called. So disappointing and really put a damper on my trip. Those things are not cheap.
May 24, 2025 · Bird WilderRooms and bathrooms are small but it’s purely there for sleep and all I want is somewhere comfy to lay my head and the bed and pillows are perfect. Fresh towels everyday and coffee and tea refilled every day. Staff are unbelievably friendly and helpful. Couldn’t recommend this place enough
May 30, 2025 · Hephzibah JaneWow, what an amazing stay! The staff here truly made our time special, and although we were only there for two nights, it felt like a much longer stay. When we needed help with our check in, Steven was beyond accomodating and kind at check in and took really great care of us throughout our stay. We felt like we made a new friend, and promised him we'd be back soon 💜. The whole of the staff gave us free cookies and waters every time we visited the front desk. We loved sharing our pizza with Dominique- her and Jane checked in on us several times during our stay. Nicholas and José both took really great care of us in the dining and bar areas- we felt spoiled by the breakfast selection/attention and the rooftop bar absolutely took our breath away. Because it was a week night we had pretty much the whole bar to ourselves. There were two men at the front- one by the elevator named José, and another named Carlos that also took great care of us- José was able to recommend a lovely Puerto Rican dinner spot, Sofrito, and Carlos helped us three times with holding luggage items for us. Everyone was so kind and we look forward to staying with you again 💜. Our room was beautiful, housekeeping did a lovely job freshening up our room while we were away- we were surprised how much space the room had for being a NY hotel room, and we felt completely safe.I would like to specify there were TWO men named José that made our stay special, and also for the staff- Frankie and Julia say hello and give them all our love 💜
