New York Hilton Midtown

1335 6th Ave, New York, NY 10019, USA

4.0
The location of the hotel is great, close to the metro, we don't waste time on transport. The services are good, the breakfast is very qualitative. The price in partnership with British airways is definitely worth it.There is this destination tax, which remains unclear. But to understand clearly, the hotel takes a deposit of $600 and at the end of the stay it withdraws $35 per night. You should know that this $35 is a credit that you can use and that I advise you to use every day to buy drinks or food in the hotel. You are also entitled to a cumulative $25 credit for dry cleaning, be careful because at the end of the stay, the hotel billed us for dry cleaning. We let them know, and the refund was subsequently made. So before you go, check the rating carefully. In clear the hotel asks $600 - ($35 per night) - Juju Mess

Introduction / Overview

For New Yorkers, the idea of staying in a hotel within our own bustling city might seem unusual, but for countless reasons – from hosting out-of-town guests to a luxurious staycation, or even a convenient base for a business trip – it’s a practical and often delightful choice. This hotel is a landmark in itself, known for its sheer size and ability to host a multitude of guests and events, from major conferences to individual travelers. It strikes a balance between grandiosity and providing essential services, making it a reliable choice for those who value efficiency and comprehensive amenities. While some guests acknowledge that the rooms might be "dated" and "in need of touch up," they generally report being "happy" with the overall experience, especially noting the "good location and price." The New York Hilton Midtown represents a quintessential Midtown experience, placing you directly in the pulse of the "non-stop city," yet providing a comfortable retreat after a day of exploration or work.

For any New Yorker, this address immediately signals exceptional accessibility and proximity to a staggering array of attractions. Situated on Avenue of the Americas (6th Avenue) between West 53rd and West 54th Streets, the hotel is a veritable nexus for exploring the city.

Walk out of the hotel, and you're instantly surrounded by iconic landmarks. Rockefeller Center, home to NBC Studios, Top of the Rock, and the famous ice-skating rink (in winter), is just a block away. World-renowned Fifth Avenue shopping, with its flagship stores and luxury boutiques, is literally around the corner. The Theater District, with its endless array of Broadway shows, is also exceptionally close, making pre- and post-show logistics incredibly easy. Carnegie Hall, a prestigious venue for classical music, is also nearby.
