The value it provides is in its accessibility and the quality of its amenities.
However, there are specific aspects that could be considered valuable "offers" for local users:
Free Park Access: The vast majority of the park, including the playground, walking trails, sports courts (for casual play), and picnic areas, are free to use for all visitors. This makes it an incredibly cost-effective option for daily recreation and family outings.

This exclusivity ensures that the pool remains a community asset, providing a dedicated and less crowded swimming experience for local families.
Free Community Events: The park is a common venue for free community events hosted by the Town of Babylon Parks and Recreation Department or local organizations. These can include summer movie nights, music festivals, autumn harvest fairs, and even winter ice skating. Checking the Town of Babylon's official calendar or local community listings is the best way to discover these opportunities.

Phelps Lane Park Reviews
The playground is amazing, the lake is disgusting and polluted. Pic 1 shows 5 gallon water tub in the lake and the video shows half the garbage hanging out on the sides. Who cleans this?
May 26, 2025 · Vanessa ElizabethMy kids love this park. The only thing is when it’s too hot, it’s unbearable. No shade here. My oldest one even went to a summer camp here a few times. Always nice crowd, kids are playing nicely. And there is a lake next to playground as well. In the summer the pool is conveniently located. Have to be a resident to use the pool.
May 28, 2024 · Anna “Aromanna”I love taking my nieces and nephews to this park. There is plenty of seating for parents or caregivers in the shade! Which is important during summer, but the jungle gym does get hot for the kids. There is conveniently located bathrooms for the kids as well and picnic tables so you could have lunch at the park and the lake which the kids tend to enjoy viewing. The picnic area is also perfect for big gatherings with family and friends especially since you have access to the playground and sporting areas
Sep 27, 2022 · Aliyah FloydThis is a very nice playground. There is a nice body of water there to walk around. This place is free all year. This is a high quality place and nice people. It seems that they have a nice water park.
Aug 17, 2023 · moshe yosef blondVery beautiful and clean park area. Love the pirate themed playground it is such a cute concept. Love that it’s right by water & has benches / picnic tables available. Parking situation is a little weird/far from the actual playground area. the bathrooms aren’t great & no changing area for little ones. definitely worth visiting with your little ones. (No dogs allowed)
