Renaissance New York Midtown Hotel Reviews
Stayed here in April 2025. Was in town for a business meet and opted for this hotel. It is right next to 1 Penn. If you are familiar with the area and the one who needs access to Penn Station and subway or calling on the businesses in the Penn Plaza area then this is a great location for a stay. The property is well managed and the service great. It is within walking distance of just about anything you would want and if taking in a game or concert at MSG, definitely the place to stay. This location has a bar on the 5th floor which is good fun too. Depending on the room you secure I found the size to be just right. The bathroom, the bed and the decor was perfect for the setup. The view I had was not bad either. Definitely recommend and for a Renaissance property it is well kept.
Apr 26, 2025 · Ayman HusainPros: Friendly and professional staff. Convenient to the subway and some good restaurants. We very much appreciated the unlimited free water bottles and bar soap with virtually no scent. Nicely appointed room with enough horizontal space to put luggage and other belongings. We appreciated the quiet mini fridge in the closet. The elevators worked well. The bed was moderately comfortable.Cons: I realize we are in a huge city, but this location seemed particularly noisy. The location was also in a bit of a sketchy area; we were on high alert. Not a fan of having a glass (even though it is "frosted") bathroom with a barn door that doesn't seal.
Apr 19, 2025 · s lynnI recently stayed at the Renaissance Midtown NYC, and the highlight of my experience was, without a doubt, the incredible bed! The mattress, pillows, and linens were absolutely perfect—one of the most comfortable hotel beds I’ve ever slept in.The staff was extremely kind and attentive, always making sure everything was just right. The hotel is full of thoughtful details that truly enhance the experience, from the stylish decor to the little touches that make you feel welcome. The bathroom is modern and high-end, with a sleek design and top-quality fixtures. Everything in the room felt new and spotless. While the rooms aren’t particularly large, they are well-designed, comfortable, and clean. The location is also a big plus, with great subway access nearby, making it easy to get around the city. Overall, I’d say it’s a great value for the quality—a stylish, comfortable stay in the heart of NYC. I would definitely return!
Mar 24, 2025 · Luis Gustavo CardosoThe hotel surpassed all expectations—from the thoughtfully curated decor to the impeccable quality throughout the room, every detail was exceptional. The staff were consistently attentive and gracious, with special recognition to Assistant Manager David, whose dedication ensured our every need was seamlessly met. For the level of service and elegance offered, there is simply no better value in New York.
May 04, 2025 · Ephrem BeainoLocation- around the block from Penn Station. Very easy to get to.Room was fine, bed was comfortable but the pillows are awful. Some people complained about the elevator- I loved the concept. There's a screen on the outside where you press your floor. If multiple people are waiting, the elevator groups floors together into individual elevators so you don't have to stop on 17 different floors.Restaurant and bar on 5th floor(rooftop bar) was nice food was really good- however the staff on Friday night was slow and I was 1 of maybe 4 tables so that's weird. Some cons: The AC only goes to 68 degrees. I run hot so I had to have the window open but then I have to hear sirens etc. Bring a fan if you like it cold.Room walls are thin so you can hear what's happening in the next room( not bad for me at night but I can see how it could be an issue). No bugs! We THOROUGHLY checked our room and nothing. We bring bed bug spray everywhere we go just in case but our room was fine.Would go back - it was good for what I needed. A nice crowd mix at the bar. Also, someone complained about the shower being exposed, but there is a curtain/shade...just pull it down!
