Residence Inn New York Downtown Manhattan/Financial District Reviews
Stayed for 4 nights and had a great time at this place. Check-in went very fast, and the employees at the front desk were very polite. The room was spotless, smelled nice, and came with a dishwasher, microwave, plates, bowls, silverware, and a safe. The complimentary breakfast had lots of options, and we always left feeling full.Room service always did a good job every night. The immediate area around the hotel is relatively calm compared to the rest of the city but it's a 20-30 minute subway ride from midtown. Subway access is only a 5-7 minute walk away, and there are nice restaurants nearby.Highly recommend this place.
Feb 18, 2025 · Om KarambelkarMy husband and I stayed here for one night on a quick trip to see some Broadway shows. The location is in the heart of the Financial District, not far from One World Trade Center and all that surrounds it, and the subway. We arrived early and did have to wait all the way until 4pm to check-in, which was a bit annoying - but 4pm IS listed as the check-in time, so I can't fault them. But, the fantastic kicker was this: we were upgraded at the last minute, free of charge, to an ENORMOUS room with an entire private terrace overlooking FiDi! It really was very cool. I don't know how or why it happened, but I'm glad it did. The room was clean, specious, and modern. The complimentary breakfast leaves a lot to be desired, and the elevators are egregiously slow. But overall, we were happy with our stay, and would do so again.
Dec 21, 2024 · Benoit TevesMy experience was thankfully much better than all of the negative reviews. Guy at check-in gave me a great corner room on the 38th floor, which was very clean, quiet, had an awesome view, and absolutely zero smell of smoke of any kind. I can't stand cigarette smoke and would have bitched-up a storm at the slightest whiff. Staff was great throughout my stay and very responsive every time I needed anything. Only slight sub-optimal was it's a little hike to subway stops but totally surmountable considering the great value. Would defo stay here again!
Mar 24, 2025 · Arno MichaelisVery unprofessional front desk staff, on hold for 20+ minutes. For a simple task that should have been completed on May 15th. The company will use another hotel for business trips. And after being placed on hold for so long, hung up the call.
May 22, 2025 · Maribel MirandaGreat location, but definitely a horrible experience. I arrived late with my husband and when opening the bed, found a lot of hair, so we requested a change of linens. When asking this, the front desk asked for proof before they would give the linens. On top of that, they just sent the linens to our room for us to do it ourselves. We had such positive experience here last time, this is our third stay. I have no idea what changed. This day was not consistent to what I have experienced at this hotel in the past.
