Aiden Introduce
As a hotel categorized under "Scenic Spot" on your platform, the Aiden Hotel in Long Island City, New York, positions itself not just as a place to stay, but as a strategic base from which to explore the myriad scenic and cultural attractions of New York City and its dynamic surrounding borough of Queens. While the hotel itself doesn't boast sprawling natural landscapes, its proximity to iconic city views, diverse neighborhoods, and convenient transportation hubs makes it an integral part of a traveler's scenic journey through one of the world's most captivating urban environments.
The Aiden Hotel is situated at 38-15 9th St, Long Island City, NY 11101, USA. This location is a significant asset for guests looking to experience the best of New York City. Long Island City (LIC) itself is a rapidly developing and vibrant neighborhood known for its artistic community, waterfront parks offering stunning Manhattan skyline views, and burgeoning culinary scene. The hotel is nestled in an area that feels safe, even at night, providing a sense of security for visitors exploring the city. Its immediate surroundings offer the practical amenities a traveler needs, including a well-regarded local bodega that can be very convenient for snacks and essentials. The hotel's strategic placement is further enhanced by its excellent connectivity to public transportation. It is notably close to the F train, providing a direct and swift connection to Manhattan – a mere 20-minute ride away. This allows guests easy access to world-renowned landmarks, museums, theaters, and shopping districts. Beyond Manhattan, the hotel also offers convenient bus routes, including a roughly 40-minute bus ride to LaGuardia Airport (LGA), making arrivals and departures relatively straightforward. Furthermore, the hotel serves as an ideal starting point for exploring the many attractions within Queens itself, a borough rich in cultural diversity, parks, and unique neighborhoods, presenting its own set of "scenic spots" from Flushing Meadows Corona Park to the Museum of the Moving Image.
The Aiden Hotel provides a range of services designed to enhance the comfort and convenience of its guests, even within its practical framework. Upon arrival, the check-in process is generally described as smooth and efficient, with the added convenience of debit card check-in and a reasonable deposit (typically around $100, though this can vary). The staff at the front desk are often commended for their helpfulness and willingness to assist guests. A notable service perk is the option for complimentary room upgrades, such as to a double bed, when available, which adds significant value to the stay. For travelers with early arrivals or late departures, the hotel offers a valuable service of storing bags, freeing guests to explore without the burden of their luggage. The common areas, including the lobby, are kept clean and comfortable, fostering a welcoming atmosphere. While the hotel is undergoing a brand transition to fully become a Best Western, guests should be aware that some services might be in flux during this period, and it is advisable to inquire about the full availability of amenities upon booking or check-in. This transition, while potentially disruptive for some past guests as noted in reviews regarding TV issues and lack of communication, signifies a future commitment to a recognized brand standard.
The guest rooms at the Aiden Hotel are designed with practicality and comfort in mind. Guests frequently praise the cleanliness of the rooms, a fundamental aspect of any hotel stay. The showers are consistently highlighted as being great, offering a refreshing experience after a day of city exploration. While the double rooms can be described as very small, which might pose a challenge for families traveling with children, they are well-suited for solo or duo travelers seeking a comfortable base. A unique design element in some bathrooms is a glass door, which, while visually modern, might not appeal to everyone seeking full privacy. Despite this, some rooms offer a nice view, which can be a pleasant surprise in an urban setting.
For guests starting their day, the hotel offers a limited breakfast selection. While there isn't a full breakfast service, good coffee is available, and pastries are sometimes offered, though they can run out. Guests have expressed a desire for more variety, such as fruit, which is a point to consider for future improvements. A microwave is available in the lobby, providing a convenient option for heating up quick meals or snacks. It's important for guests to manage expectations regarding breakfast and be prepared for a more minimalist offering, especially during the rebranding phase.
The Aiden Hotel is particularly appealing for its excellent rate, offering great value for what it provides in a prime New York City location. It positions itself as a practical and comfortable hotel that meets the essential needs of travelers without being overly fancy. This makes it an attractive option for budget-conscious travelers, solo adventurers, or duos who prioritize location and cleanliness over luxury amenities. The ongoing transition to a Best Western brand suggests a future where guests can expect even greater consistency and a wider range of standardized services and potentially loyalty program benefits. Prospective guests should consider the current phase of rebranding as an opportunity to experience the hotel before its full integration, potentially at competitive rates. For those looking to explore the "scenic spots" of New York City, from the iconic skyline to the vibrant streets of Queens, the Aiden Hotel offers a functional and well-located springboard.

Aiden Reviews
I had a great experience here with a few things to note:Positives: Check-in with a debit card was convenient, and the $100 deposit (varies) was reasonable. They upgraded us to a double bed for free, which was a nice touch. The check-in process was smooth, and the rooms and lobby were clean and comfortable. The shower was great, and the area felt safe at night. It's close to the F train, bus routes, and a great bodega. The rate was excellent for what it is, and they store bags for you. I’d definitely return as a solo or duo traveler.Negatives: The double room was very small, which might be tough with kids. There’s no real breakfast, and the pastries ran out one day. The coffee’s good, and there’s a microwave in the lobby. I would’ve liked some fruit. The bathroom has a glass door, which felt uncomfortable since you could see the other person. Luckily, the view was nice.Overall, I highly recommend it for a good rate. It’s about 20 minutes from Manhattan and 40 minutes to LGA by bus, with plenty to explore in Queens nearby. A practical, comfortable hotel, not fancy but great for what you need.
Mar 22, 2025 · C. FerrisI will admit, I caught them at a difficult time. At the time of posting the hotel is called the Aiden hotel, and I believe they are transitioning to be fully a Best Western. Because of this, they had some construction going on, along with not being able to fully offer some services. My issue is, never once did they give any notice of any of the changes going on or of the amenities they would not be able to fully offer. My room specifically kept having issues with the TV. I called several times to have it fixed. They did send someone up to fix it the first time, but then when it stopped working again, I called back twice and never got sent anyone else to fix the issue until my penultimate night. I went 2 full days without fully being able to use the tv. When I spoke to front desk about it, they told me the manager would call me back. Twice. The manager never did. I never heard their voice, or even know their name. I fully, completely understand that doing a brand change can be stressful and require a lot of attention, but you should never have your current guests left feeling abandoned. 1 extra star because at least front desk tried to help and they did send people to my room twice to help with the issue. This is more over management. Hopefully when the rebranding is fully integrated they manage to do better.
Apr 29, 2025 · Randy RodriguezAbsolutely Outstanding Stay at Aiden Long Island Best Western! My partner and I recently spent nearly a week at Aiden Long Island Best Western, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience! From the moment we arrived, we were met with exceptional service, warm hospitality, and an atmosphere that made us feel right at home. One of the highlights of our stay was the phenomenal customer service. Dax and another incredible female staff member (I wish I remembered her name!) went above and beyond to ensure that our every need was met. They greeted us by name every day, anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, and truly made us feel like valued guests. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. Each morning, we were treated to delicious complimentary croissants and danishes—a delightful touch that made our mornings extra special. The attention to detail and the thoughtful amenities really set this hotel apart. If you’re looking for a hotel that provides 5-star service with a personal touch, look no further than Aiden Long Island Best Western. We cannot wait to return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Thank you to the amazing staff for making our stay truly unforgettable!
Mar 18, 2025 · Empire After DarkThis hotel is very convenient as the accommodations are nice and close to Manhattan using the subway. Breakfast is ok but they run off pastries so early. Everything was clean and the staff nice. We experienced a nasty smell of ween within our room and we were in floor 11. Also the room was quite noisy.
Apr 20, 2025 · Alejandra Fava CastroI'm satisfied with the experience there overall. The hotel was clean and the staff were kind. Surprisingly, it offered a variety of mini bread including croissants, muffins, and danish for breakfast. Their taste was good. We had to wait for it to be served sometimes because the amount was relatively small considering the guests though. The room was also relatively small and I heard the voice from the next room, but I didn't care so much. The location was not so close to the MTA station and I didn't feel the area was safe; however, the street the hotel was located in had some hotels, so we were always able to walk with other tourists fortunately.
