Customer reviews are a resounding testament to The Gregorian Hotel's charm and exceptional service. One guest enthusiastically shared: "I love this hotel. The marble staircases are stunning, the lobby is comfortable and well appointed. The rooms are a bit small but the bathroom as well as the walk in closet were actually a really nice size. The location is perfect and right next to Herald Square. There is also a fantastic Italian bakery right across the street where we got the most perfect cappuccinos every morning. But my favorite part of this hotel is the staff. Jasmine at the front desk was lovely and so helpful, the doorman (who's name I didn't get and I'm so mad at myself) was the absolute sweetest and the 2 gentleman managing the front desk with Jasmine were total gentlemen. It felt like a family. We will definitely stay here again." This highlights the personal touch that makes a stay truly special.
Another review adds: "The hotel is clean and has a retro feel to it. It’s situated within walking distance from Bryant Park ( great place to have a coffee and people watch and soak in the city) also close to Time square and Macy’s is just a stone throw away. Lot of restaurants close by and the Subway is located at the end of the Street. The view from the hotel was looking at the Empire State building which is one street away. Would recommend this hotel if you would like a clean and basic with friendly staff and cost effective hotel." This review perfectly encapsulates the blend of cost-effectiveness, cleanliness, and prime location that makes The Gregorian so appealing. While noting an older building quirk ("water takes about 10 mins to warm up"), guests emphasize it's "not a big deal" given the overall positive experience and the excellent staff who even provided a "discount card for coffee" at the nearby bakery.

The Gregorian Hotel Reviews
We had a great stay at the Gregorian hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Just something to be aware off the hotel water takes about 10 mins to warm up to a good temperature remember it’s a old building this was not a big deal to us just give yourself self time to add this into your day. There isn’t hot water of coffee at the hotel but across the street is a great coffee shops with amazing pastries called Angelina bakery & pizza. The staff is friendly we made friends with them as this was a go to in the morning and after a day trip. The hotel also gave his a discount card for coffee. Also a great burger place next to it. Well worth checking out.The hotel is clean and has a retro feel to it. Would recommend this hotel if you would like a clean and basic with friendly staff and cost effective hotel

Mar 17, 2025 · Summer Gilgallon(PSA: Next time I stay in Manhattan, I’ll book directly to cut down 3rd party costs.) For my booking to be last minute, (booked a little under 48 hours for my reservation), I met my budget considering the location being right down the block from the famous Macy’s. Although I only stayed a night, I really enjoyed my time at the Gregorian. The foyer was immaculate. It may look large in photos but it is the pristine. I hope to return with my love for a romantic time. Jasmine and the other gentlemen were so polite, patient, and kind. The room was clean. My bed was perfect—not too soft or too hard. I wasn’t expecting a large room or a spectacular view (unless I paid more for a lavish skyline perk) because it is New York, be realistic about your expectations unless you’re affording more exquisite options. THERE ARE ROBES! I was so excited. The bathroom layout was a little tricky so after a night of partying, be careful to not hurt yourself. I let the shower run for a few minutes to warm up. Check out was easy. I will definitely return.
Mar 11, 2025 · Ebony ActonThis is one of the best affordable hotels found in this convenient area. To begin with, it has all of the basic essentials a hotel should have, from a very comfortable bed to very nice staff. The only issue is that the hotel rooms do not include a coffee machine. However, because of its excellent location, this could be easily solved by the abundance of cafes and other excellent restaurants. It is also located close to Times Square and the Empire State Building among other crucial places to visit in New York City. Lastly, I would recommend getting the high-floor room upgrade (offered after booking your room closer to the days you booked it on) as it includes some unique views of the area around you. However, this view may be obstructed by a nearby building, something that did not bother us but may bother others.
Apr 11, 2025 · Tim LapitanI loved the week that I stayed at this hotel. I wanted something that was simple and conveniently located. When I got into the lobby and then the room, there was a great "coming home" sort of feeling to it all. The staff were very friendly, the lobby has character, and the location can't be beat. I'll definitely try to stay here again in the future. Just a heads up though, this is not the hotel for you if you're looking for a fancy gym or coffee machine in your room. It's a classic-feeling hotel in the perfect location.
