Hyatt Place New York City / Times Square Reviews
I recently stayed at the Hyatt in Long Island City for a few nights, and I couldn’t be more impressed. From check-in to check-out, the service was absolutely amazing. The staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely made me feel welcome. Every request I had was handled quickly and with a smile, which made my stay feel effortless and relaxing. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable, with a great view of the city skyline. The location is also super convenient—close to the subway and just minutes from Manhattan, but still quiet enough to enjoy a good night’s sleep.Overall, this was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in New York. I’ll definitely be staying here again next time I’m in town. Highly recommend!
May 18, 2025 · Mauricio EcheverryThis place is a cozy stay, a bit small but not surprising for NYC. I was able to check in at 1pm thanks to Rahim (reason for the 5 star service rating) instead of the usual 3pm. Very busy and crowded so if you are in the middle or higher floors, budget at least 10-15 extra minutes to get the elevator when you want to get downstairs during the morning. Best to ride it up and come down since you may not get a spot as the elevators are packed! The breakfast included is typical fare, also very crowded but they had plenty of seating and people go in and out pretty efficiently. Note the busy hours for breakfast posted on the elevators.Room was clean, efficient use of space, but the desk was tiny, barely had space for my 12 inch laptop. I gave this place 5 stars mainly due to good service. Location is fine, a bit farther west so your subway options are a bit more limited. I would stay there again but not for work purposes.
Apr 25, 2025 · Good CapitalistI stayed there with some friends last month. It was a great location and the staff was so very kind. The rooms were a little small, but it was clean, updated and worked fine...I was not looking for any view. Breakfast was packed, but it served the purpose and gave us a good start on the day. I would definitely go back there again. It was a good value for the price in NYC. Also the managers, were very attentive. Mr. Vincent Shinholster, one of the managers, was very nice to deal with.
Apr 19, 2025 · Lucy MaiellaMy room was tiny, which is honestly expected in NYC especially for such a central location. But be prepared for a bed and basically nothing else lol. Honestly the hotel was fine - I was travelling for work so I wasn’t that fussy. If I was on holiday I’d probably go for a nicer area with a better room. The bathrooms/ showers could honestly do with a bit of a refresh though. The lifts also got really busy at peak times so there was a long wait. The breakfast was also just fine.
Jun 02, 2025 · Elle RyanWould give 0 stars if I could. Their mattress smells like URINE!! 🤮🤮🤮Absolutely disgusting experience. I stayed here for one night at the end of May and was assigned a disability-accessible room. A bit weird since I don’t need disability-accessible room, but fine. Within two hours, I started noticing a strong smell of PEE — and after some sniffing around, I found the source: the mattress. Yes, the bed reeked of urine. My guess? The previous guest had an accident (understandable, given this is an accessible room), but what’s unacceptable is that the hotel didn’t bother to replace the mattress. The cleaning team clearly failed to do a basic hygiene check. For the price I paid (north of $350 / night), I expect a clean bed — not a biohazard. Completely disappointed
