Renaissance New York Chelsea Hotel Reviews
Don’t stay here if you like to sleep! I don’t know whose idea it was to put a nightclub (that is open until 4am) on top of a hotel. My pillow was literally vibrating from the music at night. Luckily we sleep with earplugs and took some Lemme sleep (although even that wasn’t enough some nights). Also, in the advertisement photos of a pool, you should be aware that is actually the nightclub and NOT part of the hotel, so you can’t use it. This is extremely misleading. Those attending the night club can only enter it through the hotel lifts. This causes queues in the lobby as one lift is cordoned off ‘exclusively’ for club users.Just to add salt to the wound, we were in our room using the shower and a member of staff just let himself into the room. He got confused with the room next door, luckily we had a safety latch and my partner was with me. Not so much as an apology.Reception staff were generally not very friendly. Luckily we were only here for a few nights and then went to the Motto by Hilton literally behind this hotel. Much better!Note to the hotel: please add a disclaimer when people book about the LOUD noise until 4am from the club, and that the pool photographed isn’t for hotel users. Thank you
May 21, 2025 · Ella BaxterI selected a high-floor option when booking, and the view was absolutely stunning — I stayed on the 31st floor of a 33-story building. However, I did notice that the rooftop club made things a bit noisy on weekend nights due to the music. I could also slightly hear conversations from the neighboring room. Still, the hotel feels very clean and well-maintained, which I really appreciated — it seems relatively new, and that’s definitely a plus.
May 05, 2025 · Jan KimWe absolutely love staying at this hotel! It’s become our go to place, and we've had the pleasure of visiting several times. Every experience has been exceptional, largely thanks to Victor Rodriguez. He truly goes above and beyond to ensure our stay is nothing short of perfect. From the moment we arrive, Victor’s warm hospitality and attention to detail make all the difference. He always checks in to make sure we’re comfortable and well taken care of, making us feel like valued guests. His dedication to providing outstanding service makes him a standout, and we look forward to seeing him every time we visit. Without a doubt, Victor is the best, and his exceptional service keeps us coming back!
Mar 24, 2025 · alli HuettelWhen considering a stay at the Renaissance Hotel, here are some important details to keep in mind. The hotel does implement a daily destination fee of $30, which is clearly stated during the reservation process—there are no hidden surprises. The highlight of this fee is that it can be applied towards food and drinks during your stay, allowing you to make the most of it. Be aware that you must utilize this credit by midnight on your final night.During my visit, I made sure to inquire about the specifics of this perk at the check-in desk, and the staff were helpful in clarifying the rules. The guest rooms, while tidy and well-maintained, do feel somewhat compact, making them ideal for a couple but perhaps a bit snug for larger groups. The hotel's lobby exudes a modern vibe, featuring contemporary decor and a lively atmosphere that's inviting for guests. However, it's worth noting that the hotel houses a vibrant nightclub, so if you're sensitive to noise, it's advisable to request a room on a lower floor to minimize disturbances from the late-night revelry.Overall, I found the Renaissance Hotel to be a solid choice for a weekend getaway. The location is excellent, with convenient access to subway lines, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. Whether you’re visiting for business or leisure, this hotel offers a good balance of comfort and accessibility.
Feb 09, 2025 · Luana PaivaWe really enjoyed our stay here. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We chose this hotel because of the parking options and close proximity to the event we came into town to work. Unfortunately, their parking was full and could not accommodate, but they pointed me in the right direction of other parking that was walking distance. Felt very safe walking around this area, even at night. Walking distance to shopping, restaurants, the Empire State Building, Hudson Yards, etc.
