King Hotel Brooklyn Sunset Park Introduce
For New Yorkers, finding the right hotel in the city can often feel like a balancing act between location, amenities, and, crucially, price. Whether you’re hosting out-of-town guests, need a temporary base during an apartment transition, or are simply exploring a different corner of your own vibrant city, understanding your options is key. The King Hotel Brooklyn Sunset Park emerges as a noteworthy contender in the budget-friendly category, offering a practical and accessible lodging choice within the diverse and authentic Brooklyn neighborhood of Sunset Park.
This hotel aims to provide essential comforts and modern conveniences without the premium price tag often associated with New York City accommodations. While, like any establishment, it has received varied feedback from guests, a consistent theme is its commitment to value and its advantageous location. Reviews often highlight the presence of in-room microwaves, refrigerators, and smart TVs as significant perks, distinguishing it from other hotels in a similar price range. Furthermore, the dedication of the housekeeping and front desk staff frequently earns praise, creating a welcoming and helpful environment for visitors.
Situated in Sunset Park, the King Hotel offers more than just a place to stay; it provides a gateway to an authentic Brooklyn experience. The neighborhood itself is a blend of residential charm, cultural diversity, and burgeoning commercial areas like Industry City, all while offering stunning panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline and the Statue of Liberty from nearby vantage points. For locals, or those directing visitors, understanding the King Hotel Brooklyn Sunset Park's unique blend of affordability, amenities, and location can help facilitate a comfortable and convenient stay in the borough.
The King Hotel Brooklyn Sunset Park is strategically located at 646 39th St, Brooklyn, NY 11232, USA. This address places it squarely in the heart of Sunset Park, a dynamic and authentic Brooklyn neighborhood renowned for its cultural diversity, historic charm, and impressive city views. Its location offers a unique blend of local flavor and excellent connectivity to the rest of New York City, making it a convenient base for various types of travelers.
One of the most significant advantages of the King Hotel’s location is its exceptional accessibility to public transportation. The hotel is situated within easy walking distance of several subway stations, providing direct links to major destinations. The 9th Avenue subway station, served by the D train, is particularly close, often within a 4-minute walk. The 36th Street station, serving the D, N, and R lines, is also readily accessible, typically within a 10-15 minute walk. These subway lines offer seamless and efficient travel throughout Brooklyn and into Manhattan. For example, a ride on the D or N train can swiftly take you to iconic Manhattan landmarks like Times Square, Herald Square, and the Theater District, usually in under 30-40 minutes depending on the destination.
Beyond Manhattan, the hotel's location provides excellent access to popular Brooklyn attractions. Sunset Park itself, with its panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline and the Statue of Liberty, is just a short walk away. The vibrant Industry City, a revitalized industrial complex teeming with artisanal shops, unique eateries, and creative businesses, is also within easy reach. The Barclays Center, a major venue for sports and entertainment, and the expansive Prospect Park, Brooklyn’s urban oasis, are both a short subway ride away. For those interested in the cultural richness of the borough, the Brooklyn Museum of Art and Brooklyn Botanic Garden are also easily accessible.
For those traveling by car, the hotel's proximity to major roadways, including the Gowanus Expressway (I-278), offers relatively straightforward access. However, as noted in some reviews, on-site parking at the hotel is limited to a few spots, making street parking a more common, though sometimes challenging, necessity in the area. For air travelers, both LaGuardia Airport (LGA) and John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) are within a reasonable distance, typically accessible via a combination of public transit and ride-sharing services.

King Hotel Brooklyn Sunset Park Reviews
While the King Hotel Brooklyn Sunset Park offers budget-friendly rates and a convenient location, I only complaint about the bathroom tile was dirty and I barley sleep due to noises issues, also parking is very hard even though they have couple parking spots, It's advisable to consider these factors when planning your stay. If you check in early or check out late fees are charged bring toothpaste and soap they have some liquid soap but they not smell good. Otherwise the price is very reasonably.
May 27, 2025 · Michelle EstrellaVery clean.Has microwave and fridge and smart T.V inside your room.Again very clean.I have no idea what ppl went through in this place to make bad reviews. No drugs dealers No prostitution. And the house keeper and front disk was very sweet and nice.Thank you for your work and for the nice environment. I really didn’t see anything wrong like what they said in the reviews. And oh yeah the location is safe so far.
Dec 25, 2024 · Munira MartinBarely any parking. Even if u have the confirmation but ur name isn't on it and yet there's 2 ppl, they won't let u upstairs unless the person on the itinerary confirms which is a real pain. I was on my menstrual and had to wait over 2 hrs for my partner to arrive. Smfh never again.
May 13, 2025 · Kenya FarrellThis is the worst Hotel I've ever been to. I'm 43 and have traveled the world. Hostels. Cheapest of the cheap. This is by far the worst. The rooms were filthy and worn out. Everything was broken or dirty. The price was 300 a night for complete crap. The mattress was disgusting. It was all bad. The staff didn't care. You could hear people having sex loudly and often. Likely prostitutes. All bad. Beware.
Dec 14, 2024 · AzNativeExceeded my expectations. Definitely a bargain. The best water pressure/shower of any hotel I've ever stayed at.
