Boro Hotel Introduce
For New Yorkers and visitors alike, the allure of a stylish, comfortable, and well-located hotel can significantly enhance any city experience. In the dynamic and increasingly popular neighborhood of Long Island City (LIC), the Boro Hotel stands out as a distinctive option, blending modern industrial design with a warm, inviting atmosphere. This hotel offers a refreshing departure from traditional accommodations, promising an experience that is both aesthetically pleasing and genuinely comfortable.
The Boro Hotel immediately captures attention with its "cool industrial design," a perfect reflection of LIC's vibrant, evolving character. Guests consistently rave about the "epic floor-to-ceiling windows" and the opportunity to enjoy a "chill spot" on their private balconies, offering glimpses of the surrounding urban landscape. The thoughtfully integrated elements of "concrete and steel in the architecture" create a contemporary yet welcoming ambiance, making the hotel feel "modern but still welcoming." This attention to design, combined with fundamentals like "super soft" and "clean" sheets on an "ultra comfy" bed, ensures that guests feel both pampered and at ease, even if only for "one night."
Beyond the rooms, the Boro Hotel fosters a lively yet cozy atmosphere throughout its public spaces. The lobby is described as "super cute," featuring a "cozy restaurant and a bar that really adds to the whole atmosphere." And for those seeking breathtaking vistas, the "rooftop lounge" is a true highlight, boasting "views of the city are to die for!" This combination of stylish design, comfortable amenities, and captivating communal spaces makes the Boro Hotel a strong contender for anyone looking for a unique and enjoyable stay in the New York City area. While its location might require a short walk to the subway, the overall experience and value offered make it a highly recommended choice.
Location and Accessibility
The Boro Hotel is conveniently situated at 38-28 27th St, Long Island City, NY 11101, USA. This address places it in the vibrant and rapidly evolving neighborhood of Long Island City (LIC), Queens. While one guest noted that "the location isn’t the best" for immediate proximity to certain distant areas like deep Brooklyn, it is in fact exceptionally well-positioned for exploring Manhattan and the immediate Queens area.
Despite being in Queens, the hotel offers excellent accessibility to New York City's unparalleled subway system. It is "a few minutes away from a few metro stations," meaning guests can quickly reach Manhattan. The 39th Avenue-Dutch Kills subway station (N and W lines) is typically a short walk away, providing direct access to Midtown Manhattan, including Times Square, Rockefeller Center, and Herald Square, in just a few stops. The Queensbridge-21st Street station (F line) is also relatively close, offering direct connections to Midtown, Greenwich Village, and Brooklyn. This robust subway access is a major advantage, allowing guests to navigate the city easily and efficiently.
Beyond subway convenience, the Boro Hotel's location benefits from being in a "very quiet and pretty safe" neighborhood. This provides a peaceful retreat from the constant hustle and bustle of Manhattan, allowing guests to relax without feeling insecure. The immediate vicinity of the hotel, while not a central tourist hub, is increasingly populated with local eateries, cafes, and creative businesses that give LIC its distinct character. For those arriving from NYC airports, the hotel's location in LIC often means a more straightforward and less congested transfer compared to properties directly in Manhattan, further enhancing its practical appeal for travelers.

Boro Hotel Reviews
We absolutely loved this hotel! The whole vibe, from the cool industrial design to those epic floor-to-ceiling windows, was just perfect. Our balcony was such a chill spot to kick back and relax. The lobby is super cute, with a cozy restaurant and a bar that really adds to the whole atmosphere. And don’t even get me started on the rooftop lounge—the views of the city are to die for! What really caught my eye was the mix of concrete and steel in the architecture; it felt modern but still welcoming. The bed? So clean and comfy, and those sheets were super soft! We only stayed one night, but it felt warm and cozy.We ordered room service for breakfast, and I was pleasantly surprised—it was tasty and didn’t break the bank. I really hope we can come back soon to check out more of this awesome hotel! The location isn’t the best, but with rideshare apps, it’s not a big deal.
Apr 04, 2025 · Angela DavisThe Boro Hotel is a very nice hotel if you’re looking to stay near New York City.Yes, it might be far from other places (for example, if you want to go to Brooklyn, the metro takes quite a bit of time even though it’s the neighborhood below the hotel) but the location is actually quite nice if you’re just looking to visit NYC, a few minutes away from a few metro stations. The rooms are spacious, clean and well equipped, I just wish there was an ice machine in the hallway and a possibility to make tea and coffee directly in the room. The staff was very nice and welcoming, giving us tips on how to enjoy our stay the best way possible !Also the neighborhood was very quiet and pretty safe, I did not feel insecure there.Honestly for the price, this was really our best choice for a hotel, I definitely recommend !
May 09, 2025 · Charline GalèreI had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Boro Hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Michelle was incredibly helpful—she made everything so easy and ensured I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Her attentiveness truly made a difference!Liz was also fantastic—always so kind and warm, making me feel right at home. The hotel itself is beautiful, with stylish decor, stunning views, and a great atmosphere. My room was spotless, spacious, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay.I highly recommend the Boro Hotel to anyone looking for a great experience in the area. Thanks again to Michelle, Liz, and the entire team for making my stay so memorable! I’ll definitely be back!
Mar 07, 2025 · Scott GonzalezI traveled here recently with a colleague and really enjoyed the overall size and square footage you get with the king studio suite. The view as well as the natural lighting you get on a beautiful day, AMAZING!My only complaint is the area doesn't really have many local good food spots that attracted me and the walk to and from the subway station you may burn a few calories especially with a heavy checked luggage. The desk lamp in our room was not working as well as the lighting in the sleeping area is bare to none... had to use the TV light to get my things in order.Nonetheless, overall great stay and will perhaps book again in the near future!!
Apr 11, 2025 · Darius WellsThe best part of the hotel is David at the front desk, he is amazing. Other than that the stay itself was pretty average. The room smelt like cigarettes when we entered, but it’s okay because I brought a candle with me that got rid of the odor. The room was nice, I did expect it to be a bit bigger though. On my last day, 3/23 at 11:39AM someone knocked on the door to remind me of checkout hours, that’s a first. Out of all the hotel rooms I’ve stayed in, no one has ever knocked on the door during my check out process. I paid a good amount of money for this so I expected better. Very nice hotel, but would not stay again.
