Ramada by Wyndham Long Island City Introduce
For New Yorkers and visitors looking to explore beyond Manhattan while staying connected to the city's core, Long Island City (LIC) has become an increasingly popular destination. Within this vibrant and rapidly developing Queens neighborhood, the Ramada by Wyndham Long Island City offers a lodging option that caters to travelers seeking convenience and accessibility. While every hotel experience can vary, the Ramada by Wyndham brand is generally known for providing essential comforts and practical amenities for a straightforward stay.
Long Island City itself is a dynamic area, boasting a burgeoning arts scene, waterfront parks with stunning Manhattan skyline views, and a diverse array of dining and entertainment options. Choosing a hotel in LIC can often provide a more budget-friendly alternative to staying directly in Manhattan, while still offering quick and easy access to all the iconic attractions across the East River. The Ramada by Wyndham Long Island City aims to serve as a practical base for exploring both Queens and Manhattan, particularly for those who prioritize location and straightforward accommodations.
It's important for prospective guests to manage expectations and understand that experiences can differ, as reflected in various customer feedback. However, for travelers who value proximity to public transport and a functional place to rest after a day of city exploration, this Ramada by Wyndham location offers a strategic starting point. The convenience of its location often emerges as a key advantage, facilitating easy movement throughout the greater New York City area.
Location and Accessibility
The Ramada by Wyndham Long Island City is strategically located at 38-30 Crescent St, Long Island City, NY 11101, USA. This address places it in the heart of Long Island City (LIC), a bustling and evolving neighborhood in Queens known for its industrial past and vibrant present. LIC offers a unique blend of urban cool, artistic flair, and stunning waterfront views of the Manhattan skyline, making it an attractive alternative to staying directly in Manhattan.
One of the most significant advantages of this hotel's location, as highlighted by a customer review, is its excellent proximity to public transportation. "The subway is in walking distance," providing incredibly easy and quick access to Manhattan. The Queensboro Plaza subway station (N, W, and 7 lines) is typically just a few blocks away, offering direct routes to major Manhattan hubs like Times Square, Grand Central Terminal, and Bryant Park in a matter of minutes. This seamless connectivity makes exploring iconic New York City attractions remarkably convenient without the higher costs often associated with Manhattan hotels.
Beyond subway access, the hotel's LIC location means guests are close to a variety of local attractions within Queens. These include Gantry Plaza State Park, famous for its panoramic views of the Midtown Manhattan skyline and the Pepsi-Cola sign; MoMA PS1, a renowned contemporary art institution; and a growing number of breweries, restaurants, and cafes that contribute to LIC's vibrant local scene. The neighborhood itself is walkable, allowing guests to explore its unique charm on foot. For those arriving from the airports, direct subway connections or relatively short taxi/ride-share trips make this hotel a practical choice for accessibility.

Ramada by Wyndham Long Island City Reviews
I would give zero stars if it was an option! We spent 3 nights at this hotel. The reception itself is dirty, that gave us an unwelcome feeling. The Room was very small though we booked a business suite, shower was covered in mildew and the room was smelly! Bedsheets were not clean at all and on top of all that we had 4 couch pillows to sleep instead of bed pillows and I ended up with a bed bug infection! Because of the condition of the hotel we never tried their breakfast. I will never recommended this hotel to anybody!! The only good thing is the subway is in walking distance. Waste of money!
Jul 14, 2019 · Shurfa NazarThe room it self was nice and for the most part clean. the tub didn't drain the walls where in need of paint and the lamp shades needed to be replaced. We had a great view Room 807. The rooms where cleaned every day and it was nice. the smell of weed in the hotel was over powering but I could not smell it in the room it self. The location is not bad it was not in the ghetto but not far from it either. The breakfast was a joke they yelled at my mom for using a spoon to mix her coffee and not a stir stick. For the amount of money we paid it should have been better. But hey you live and you learn.
Jun 29, 2017 · Erica Crouch-CampbellCheck in experience was extremely smooth. Was given the 5th floor room and a strange odour greeted me when I step out of the big elevator. This stench was present throughout my one week stay. Interior was a bit dated but suffice. Coffee maker and fridge were useful. Quite roomy feel especially the granite finished bathroom. Location is excellent with metro lines crisscrossing the area. TV channels were limited though. Bright morning light shines through the big glass window. The room offers a modest wardrobe and iron board.
Jul 14, 2019 · Chi KCIf you're looking for a hotel strictly for sleeping, or a quick overnight, this is a good choice. Room wasn't ready by 3:00 for check in, lobby area was constantly getting swept up from all the leaves that blew in when the doors opened. The personnel at the desk upon check in, although friendly and well mannered, tried to overcharge my card. The next shift at the desk called me down so that he could process the refund that wasn't processed earlier. The free breakfast wasn't that appetizing. Not sure I would stay here again.
Nov 07, 2018 · Jeanne RivenbarkMy only issue has been the breakfast provided. The earlier you arrive it seems the better. I arrived about 30-40 minutes after it began, by this time the milk was lukewarm, eggs and sausage were cold. Apple juice was fine. Haven't tried the other items yet, but the bananas looked fresh. Check in was simple, no issues, room seems good so far, free wifi.
