For New Yorkers, Executive Class at MTS Hotel presents a uniquely suitable option for a variety of needs, predominantly due to its unrivaled location at 790 7th Avenue in Midtown Manhattan. While locals might not typically consider hotels for extended stays in their own city, this property’s strategic position makes it an ideal choice for specific scenarios, offering a blend of convenience and immediate access to the city’s pulse.

Secondly, the hotel serves as an excellent option for hosting visiting friends and family. Instead of guests navigating the complexities of public transport from a distant relative’s home, they can be placed right in the heart of Manhattan, giving them immediate access to all the major attractions. This allows local hosts to easily meet up with their guests, show them around, and then retreat to their own homes, while visitors enjoy the full New York experience from a central hub.
Finally, despite some mixed reviews, the hotel aims to offer key amenities like a fitness center, and potentially a pool, alongside standard services such as 24/7 front desk assistance and housekeeping. For locals, these features, combined with the convenience of an on-site coffee shop or restaurant, contribute to a self-contained and comfortable urban retreat. Executive Class at MTS Hotel Reviews
The front desk staff and management were not helpful after the hotel canceled my reservation. They claimed I canceled it on Expedia, but I showed them my booking and confirmation number. It included free parking and breakfast, but they said none of that was included. The manager Ariana asked for Expedia to call her directly because she claims to have looked up my booking on Expedia and couldn't find anything AFTER I showed her my confirmation information. Then when I had a rep from Expedia on the phone, she wouldn't come out of the back office to help me. The Expedia rep tried calling the number she gave me for the to call, but it kept going to voicemail.Against my better judgement, we stayed and although the room was okay, it didn't have a mini fridge as the room description stated. We booked an Executive room on the 19th floor with included parking and morning pastry/fruit/coffee. The worker at the coffee shop insisted it was included, but when I went to the front desk to get a voucher, they said it wasn't.In the middle of the night, expect to hear banging doors, loud screaming, and drunk people throughout the hallways no less than 5-10 times per night between midnight and 3am. Also plan on the housekeeping staff to try to enter your room 1-2 times in the afternoon AFTER it's been made up for no reason! We kept the double lock in place, and when we heard someone entering, it was housekeeping. When I asked if we could help her with something, she said, "Sorry! No, nothing! Do you need anything?" I've never had this happen at any hotel I've ever stayed at. This happened EVERY day!To top it off, the Union workers were protesting every morning outside the hotel doors with inflatable rats and a fog horn starting at 6am. The convenient location is just not worth it!
Aug 02, 2024 · Rachel Bell"I recently stayed at [MTS Hotel ] and had an exceptional experience from start to finish. The check-in process was seamless, with friendly and attentive staff who made me feel welcome. Throughout my stay, the room was impeccably clean and well-maintained, with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The highlight of my stay was the exemplary service provided by the hotel staff. From the housekeeping team who ensured my room was always in top condition to the restaurant staff who went above and beyond to accommodate my dietary restrictions, everyone I encountered was professional, courteous, and went out of their way to make sure I had a fantastic stay. The hotel's facilities were also top-notch, including a well-equipped gym and a beautiful pool area. Additionally, the central location made it easy for me to explore the city's attractions.Overall, I can't recommend [Hotel Name] highly enough. The combination of excellent service, pristine accommodations, and convenient location made for an unforgettable stay. I will definitely be returning on my next visit to the area."
Apr 02, 2024 · Tahir AlamFirst things first, I hope it’s not too late for those to see the low rate review this place has on Google, should have been first place I look. They have a false review rate on hotels.con. The location is great. View from the room not what you see in the pics. I recently got one of the renovated rooms, and it should be spectacular, it’s not. Tried to get a different room and something more accommodating to what I assumed I was paying for. The front desk was more than friendly and polite to tell me no they can not switch my room. That being said they listened to everything I had to say, took my room number down and told me someone will be right up. Cons. Like warm at very best shower, shower was not hot. Tv remote missing, if you can find the buttons on the tv it works. There is no fridge but they will supply you one for a fee, due to me not being happy they offered to give me one free of charge which I never got. The view of the building next door was phenomenal but not the view they represent on their websites or other. The bathroom so much more smaller than what you see in the pictures. Due to the floor being renovated the ice machine or water room in the hallway was non existent, I’m sure you need to travel to another floor for that. Parking is not free but conveniently accessible that is a plus. Pricey but not the worst. One toilet paper roll for the room and lack of towels. I’ve stayed at other hotels for worst and offered more. I was suggested that I could check out if I was so unhappy but I decided to stay since it was for one night and I would NOT get my money back if so decided. Convenient location but a bit over priced for the lack of amenities and like warm shower.Atleast they were polite.
Jan 04, 2024 · Nelson RodriguezDo NOT stay here. There are so many options in New York and this has to be the worst hotel, especially given how expensive it is.We were concerned about cleanliness since many reviews have mentioned how dirty the rooms can be. That ended up being the least of our concerns. When we arrived our curtains were all the way up and could not be rolled down manually. We immediately went down to the front desk to tell them and they had a technician come up to fix it. The technician came and said there should be a remote that is specialized and without it, the curtains won’t come down. That remote was not in the room. He said he would relay that to the front desk and they would contact us with a solution. THAT NEVER HAPPENED.We went down to complain the next morning since we got zero sleep. I guess they forgot we’re in the middle of Manhattan and neon lights beam through the windows all night! We spoke to a different clerk who said they would have a technician come up and fix it. That’s when we knew this would never get resolved. We then decided to talk a manager since we were going in circles. The manager, Gina (sp?), again said she would talk to a technician and look at our reservation (whatever that means). We were pretty upset by then and explained to her we couldn’t sleep with lights beaming in all night. She brushed us off with an eye roll and we never heard from her again. We gave up at that point and stayed two more nights without sleep. The room was also extremely hot and the a/c didn’t work despite the listing saying we would have it. When we finally checked out we spoke to another manager (Sandra). She was slightly more concerned about our horrible stay and was gracious enough to waive the $40 maintenance fee (sarcasm). For paying close to $500/night you would think they would care about their guest service service. We spoke to at least five employees and they all passed the buck.Alas they have no accountability because the location is unbeatable and the hotel Will survive on that alone. You would do better staying at a Holiday Inn. Avoid this place at all costs. Here’s a picture of how our room looked at night. It doesn’t do justice to how bright it was.
Dec 09, 2022 · Jacob SeleyI will state my experience from start to finish in this hotel. It started off great they allowed us to check in 1 hour early gave us a gift bag and greeted is nicely at checkin. The problems started when we entered our room. The Tv was blasting and someone else’s suitcases were scattered. We had to wait 1hour to checkin. I will give the benefit of doubt since we were allowed to checkin early but I assume situation would’ve been the same regardless of checkin time. Now the room wasn’t very clean but at least the bedding was clean which was important. The location was amazing and the parking was free as well (with a voucher). The grab and go breakfast wasn’t bad for a light breakfast before heading out to explore. Now this hotel earned 1 star for its location, .5 stars for service relatively quick when we called down for a fridge, .5 for the room while it wasn’t too clean it was still a decent room, .5 for the parking and .5 for the breakfast. Will I stay at this hotel again? Unless I have more to spend It isn’t a dreadful option but I would look at other places before deciding on this one. A clean room should be a standard at any hotel.
