Wonderful location and bars! The rooftop alone is the centerpieces. Unfortunately the rooms left a lot to be desired. Small and cramped. My group had two rooms, a premium corner King and and Private quad. The quad was so small, the pictures on the booking page is misleading - there was only 1 window and it was grimy and felt like a hostel, but for $200+/night. It felt very much like a train car. And none of the outlets worked. Continuing the train car feeling was our Premium corner King - the sink was so small (about a hand breadth across) with a weirdly shaped shelf above it that when I washed my face all the water wound up on the floor. Also only 2 working outlets. The communal toiletries (which for some reason are all the rage in hotels) was always empty. Thankfully I had brought my own. There was a sitting area in the king room, but the couch was so small I felt like an giant sitting at a kids tea party table. Only three available hangers and no drawers to put one’s clothes in. Luckily there was a steamer. Moving in to service - all the waiters and bartenders and cleaning staff were amazing! Cool, and attentive and kind. The front desk staff couldn’t be bothered. On checking in, the guy had attitude maybe because it was busy. Checking out the guy just put his hand out for the keys and didn’t say a word - this felt very rude. I guess “hospitality” is just a suggestion for their front desk staff. I wanted an exquisite visit and got a mid hotel and treated badly by the front desk staff. Shoutout to the Broken Shaker staff though! They’re awesome. And the housekeeping staff! - Matt McCormick
