Lex Hotel NYC Reviews
It was an interesting stay. When we arrived we were given a room on the “garden level” which is an interesting way to say basement with overwhelmingly smelly plastic greenery all over the walls. A nice attempt to jazz up what is a basement. I have asthma and allergies so I would’ve asked ahead had I known the room would be in the basement. It didn’t ventilate well with the shower. The floors were sticky. I heard every word the people next door said through the wall. The outlets were weird. The bed was very uncomfortable. The free breakfast is only 7-9 am but checkout is noon. We didn’t bother. I wouldn’t stay again. Thankful for the free water bottles. Huge room. Surprised there was no mini fridge. Staff was lovely though. Great location. Just not a cozy hotel.
May 30, 2025 · Sam CostaAn economical hotel. We did not realize what we were getting into. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. BUT the hotel is small, a small little breakfast in the morning for a hot minute, room is very small, mini desk, no electrical outlets in the bathroom, no coffee maker or mini refrigerator, but a patio of all weird things. Conveniently located but unless you want a minimal room, then this may not be for you. Room rates were fair but minimal accommodations.
Apr 11, 2025 · Gail ZuckerThe location was really convenient for the subway and the free breakfast easily saved us $5-$10 per day but the hotel has an issue with heating. There is only an old noisy AC unit in the room so you have to super heat the room before going to sleep and prey it stays warm enough until morning. I think in spring / summer / autumn this wouldn’t be an issue but I wouldn’t stay here in winter again.
Feb 18, 2025 · Martin KellyMy son and I came to celebrate his Birthday in NY, booked with the Lex, the best thing ever, I have have to give a shout out to Steven, Chris and Odlis at the front desk they were amazing, they helped to make his day very special. Thank you so much. The rooms were clean, big bathroom, comfortable beds.It is near the bus stops and trains a little walk, very quiet area, with a light breakfast.Highly recommend.
Mar 09, 2025 · Suzanne NievesIf you need access to lower Madison Ave, it's hard to beat the Lex. The rooms aren't large, but the bed is comfortable, and the bathroom has ample room to get ready for the day. Coffee, juice, and pastries are available to start the morning. Reasonably priced for the city.
