Skyline RV Camp Introduce
For RV enthusiasts and travelers eager to experience the vibrant energy of New York City without sacrificing the comfort and convenience of their home on wheels, finding suitable accommodation can be a challenge. Enter Skyline RV Camp, a unique and strategically located RV park offering an unparalleled opportunity to explore the Big Apple from a serene waterfront setting. Situated at 1 Noble St, Brooklyn, NY 11222, USA, this isn't your typical sprawling campground; it's a compact, urban oasis designed to be your direct gateway to everything NYC has to offer.
Skyline RV Camp is more than just a place to park your recreational vehicle; it's a vantage point. Guests consistently rave about the "spectacular views" of the New York City skyline, a truly breathtaking backdrop that sets this camp apart. Imagine waking up to panoramic vistas of Manhattan, with iconic skyscrapers gleaming across the East River, or unwinding in the evening as the city lights twinkle to life. This picturesque setting offers a peaceful escape from the urban hustle while keeping you intimately connected to its pulse. Reviewers highlight the "nice location by the river; very relaxing and serene," emphasizing the tranquil atmosphere despite being so close to one of the world's busiest cities.
While some customer feedback points to areas for operational enhancements, such as gate access, pavement improvements, and dedicated water/dumping facilities, the overwhelming consensus regarding the location's convenience and the stunning views remains exceptionally positive. One guest perfectly summed it up: "The location of Skyline RV Camp is unsurpassed in all of New York City. Our niece’s wedding reception was being held nearby and we could walk to the event from our trailer." Another enthusiastically stated, "Wonderful stay, would return again!" This commitment to the location's prime advantage underscores Skyline RV Camp's appeal as a truly unique base for your New York City adventure, allowing you to easily access the city's main attractions by ferry or subway, while enjoying the comforts of your RV with a view that simply can't be beaten.
Skyline RV Camp boasts an absolutely unbeatable location for anyone looking to experience New York City with the flexibility of an RV. Situated at 1 Noble St, Brooklyn, NY 11222, USA, the camp is nestled in the vibrant Greenpoint neighborhood of Brooklyn, directly on the waterfront. This strategic positioning offers the best of both worlds: a tranquil, picturesque setting with direct, easy access to the bustling heart of Manhattan.
The primary draw of this location is its unparalleled proximity to the New York City skyline. Guests are treated to "spectacular views" across the East River, providing an iconic backdrop to their stay. This waterfront position not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also facilitates incredibly convenient travel into Manhattan.
Accessibility to Manhattan and other boroughs is a significant highlight:
Ferry Access: The camp is conveniently located near the NYC Ferry Greenpoint Landing. This allows for a scenic and relaxing boat ride directly to various Manhattan piers (e.g., East 34th Street, Wall Street/Pier 11) in minutes. This is often touted as the most enjoyable way to commute into the city, offering unique perspectives of the skyline and bridges.
Subway Access: The Greenpoint subway station (G train) is just a few blocks away. While the G train provides excellent connectivity within Brooklyn and Queens, it also connects to other major subway lines, granting guests access to the entire city, including Midtown, Downtown, and beyond. As one reviewer mentioned, "The Greenpoint subway station was just a few blocks away and gave us access to the entire city."
Walking Distance to Local Amenities: Beyond its proximity to Manhattan, the Greenpoint neighborhood itself is rich with amenities. Guests can "walk to local shops and eateries in Brooklyn," enjoying the area's trendy cafes, diverse restaurants, boutiques, and vibrant local culture. This provides convenience for daily needs and leisure activities without needing to move the RV.
This combination of breathtaking views, direct access to key transportation hubs, and immediate neighborhood amenities makes Skyline RV Camp's location truly unsurpassed for an RV stay in New York City.
Skyline RV Camp focuses on providing essential services for RV owners, emphasizing convenience and access to its prime location. While it operates more as a specialized parking solution than a full-service resort, the following services are typically expected or inferred based on common RV park offerings and customer feedback:
RV Parking Spaces: Dedicated spots for RVs to park, serving as a base for exploring New York City.
Basic Utilities Hookups: While not explicitly detailed, standard RV parks typically offer electricity hookups. Given the context of reviews, water hookups seem to be available, although specific "water points" are suggested for improvement. Sewer dumping, while not available at individual lots, might be offered via a communal dump station or a mobile service (see "Improvements Needed" in customer reviews).
Site Access: Guests have access to the park, though current feedback suggests the entry gate process could be streamlined with a security code for easier customer access.
On-site Management/Host: A camp host is present on-site to assist guests, though feedback suggests optimizing their location for guest benefit.
Proximity to Transportation: While not a direct service of the camp, its location provides immediate access to NYC Ferry and subway lines, serving as a crucial "service" in terms of getting around the city.
Nearby Amenities: The ability to walk to local shops and eateries in Greenpoint is a significant convenience for guests, offering dining and shopping options just steps away.
Important Note on Services (based on customer feedback):
Customer reviews indicate areas where services could be enhanced to improve the guest experience:
Improved Gate Access: A request for a security code for customers to key in for direct access, rather than relying on the camp host or manual opening, suggests a current manual or less efficient system.
Dedicated Water Point: Guests desire a more convenient, pull-in "water point" for filling RV tanks, suggesting the current method of hose hookup might require RV repositioning.
Sewer Dumping Service: A clear need for an "automatically added" dumping service for stays over two days, given that "there are no sewer dumping on the RV lot." This implies a communal dump station might be absent or less convenient, or mobile dumping service needs to be explicitly offered.
These points highlight that while basic necessities are likely met, the camp is actively receiving feedback on how to optimize core RV services for maximum convenience.
Skyline RV Camp's appeal is significantly bolstered by its unique features and highlights, especially considering its urban setting:
Unrivaled NYC Skyline Views: This is the absolute paramount feature. Guests consistently describe the views as "spectacular" and "unimaginable." Waking up or winding down with panoramic vistas of the Manhattan skyline across the East River is a truly unique and memorable experience, setting this RV park apart from any other in the region.
Prime Waterfront Location: Situated directly by the river, the camp offers a "very relaxing and serene" environment. This tranquil setting provides a perfect contrast to the city's hustle and bustle, allowing guests to unwind while still being incredibly close to the action.
Exceptional Accessibility to Manhattan: The "very convenient location to the New York City; either by ferry or subway" is a major highlight. The proximity to the NYC Ferry and the Greenpoint subway station means guests can effortlessly commute to and from Manhattan's major attractions in minutes, offering a scenic and efficient way to explore.
Walkable Brooklyn Neighborhood: Beyond Manhattan access, the camp is within walking distance to "local shops and eateries in Brooklyn." This allows guests to immerse themselves in the vibrant Greenpoint community, enjoying its trendy cafes, diverse restaurants, and unique boutiques without needing to drive or use public transport.
Urban RV Camping Rarity: RV parks directly within or on the immediate periphery of New York City are extremely rare. Skyline RV Camp offers a unique opportunity for RV travelers to experience one of the world's greatest cities from the comfort of their own rig, avoiding the complexities and costs of traditional city accommodation.
Ideal for Special Events: Its location makes it perfect for attending local events. One reviewer noted being able to "walk to the event from our trailer" for a nearby wedding reception, highlighting its convenience for specific city engagements.
While customer feedback suggests areas for operational improvement (like access, pavement, and water/dumping facilities), the core value proposition of the stunning views and unparalleled access to NYC remains the defining highlight of Skyline RV Camp.
As a specialized RV park with a unique urban location, Skyline RV Camp may not consistently advertise traditional "promotions" in the same way a chain hotel might. However, potential visitors should always inquire about current rates and any offers that might apply to their stay. Common considerations for RV parks often include:
Seasonal Pricing: Like most travel accommodations, rates for RV sites can fluctuate based on the season, demand, and major city events. Guests might find more favorable rates during off-peak times or in the colder months, though the stunning city views remain year-round.
Discounts for Extended Stays: RV parks often offer reduced nightly or weekly rates for longer bookings. If you plan to stay for several days or a week, it is always worth inquiring if a long-stay discount applies.
Membership Discounts: While not specified, some RV parks participate in national RV membership programs (e.g., Good Sam Club, Passport America) that offer discounts to members. It's advisable for RV owners to ask if any such affiliations are recognized.
Direct Booking Advantages: Sometimes, contacting the RV park directly by phone can yield the most accurate pricing or even potentially a better rate than third-party booking sites, as it avoids commission fees.
Given the unique nature of this urban RV park and the direct feedback from customers about operational aspects, it would be highly beneficial for prospective guests to call Skyline RV Camp directly. This allows for a clear understanding of current pricing, availability, and any specific services or amenities that are available for their dates, potentially including any current specials or flexible booking options.

While RV parks are typically associated with out-of-town travelers, Skyline RV Camp holds surprising suitability for New York City locals, especially those who own an RV or are considering investing in one. For many New Yorkers, having an RV offers a unique escape from the city, but parking and a convenient base for their rig can be a significant challenge. Skyline RV Camp provides a practical solution right on the city's doorstep.

For those who love the RV lifestyle but don't want to be disconnected from urban conveniences, Skyline RV Camp presents an ideal balance. It effectively transforms your RV into a temporary, scenic urban retreat, offering a novel way to experience New York City from a local perspective.

Skyline RV Camp Reviews
Camp host need to move his RV to the back of the camp site - he should not have the best views - that should be for the paying customers. The gate need to have a security code for the customers to key in the code for access to the park. This will eliminate the calling, having the camp host open, or having the customer get out of their vehicle to open the gate.Repave the entry access and the parking lot to the park. In order to have an easier ride (really bumpy) into the park and beautify the aesthetic of the parking lot.Need to have dedicated water point for customers to fill water tanks. It would be easier, if the RV's could pull into a water point; instead of having a hose hookup and moving your RV.Any customers staying over two days should have at least one dumping service added on to their bill automatically. Especially, since there are no sewer dumping on the RV lot.The views are spectacular! Nice location by the river; very relaxing and serene! Very convenient location to the New York City; either by ferry or subway! Can walk to to local shops and eateries in Brooklyn. My rating is actually a 4.5 stars; however, the system, does allow for adding the additional .5 star rating! Wonderful stay, would return again!
May 10, 2025 · Marty McGregorThe location of Skyline RV Camp is unsurpassed in all of New York City. Our niece’s wedding reception was being held nearby and we could walk to the event from our trailer. The Greenpoint subway station was just a few blocks away and gave us access to the entire city. Not all of the amenities were up to par thus the reason for 4 stars.
May 20, 2025 · Neal SchneiderThe host was very kind and easy to work with! I appreciated that. It’s very easy to get across to NY city from here. You can use the ferry or subway. Very close to many places to eat and shop! It’s a tight fit getting in and out of the parking lot but I was able to do it with my 30ft class C. We are a family of 4 and I never felt unsafe in this location. Did not see any rats as mentioned before. Thank you!
Mar 24, 2025 · Dusti CollinsThis place is just a place to park.As people who were sleeping in our SUV not an RV, the reviews and website made it seem like the accommodation's and security were great. The two available washrooms were gross and never cleaned by owner, garbage's were overflowing entire visit. Gate was kept open the entire time so there were no security measures kept. Perhaps this place is great in the summer but in April, not at all. Would not recommend staying here unless you careless about any of the accommodations and only the cheap parking.Neighborhood is very nice and never felt unsafe walking to and from the ferry at night.
Apr 13, 2025 · D BHuge thanks to the owners of this place for being so cool to open up their parking lot to RVers. The view is amazing and the price incredibly affordable if you know anything about parking in NYC. Security was on-point and we felt safe and our property protected. Nice bathrooms. Showers need some hooks for towels and clothes and the site host, Alex, is working on that. He's been warm, welcoming, and helpful with local tips. Greenpoint neighborhood has lots of shops, eateries, restaurants all within walking distance. Ferries, subway, and busses so convenient to get you anywhere. I really feel lucky to have found this place.
