SpringHill Suites New York Manhattan/Times Square South Reviews
I stayed for 6 days for a work trip. The location was perfect, close to work and subways from Penn station. It was nice to have a fridge and microwave in the room. There was a nice spacious and welcoming lobby. The breakfast had a number of options just that the staff could not keep up with keeping the seats/table clean so you might just end up getting your clothes dirty. The hotel staff were kind enough to have a room for me when I arrived at 6:30am, plus a room with a patio, plus a late 4pm checkout (Titanium status). For the checkin item they were generous enough to let me pick both a sandwich and Gatorade. All in all I could not have asked for more for a NYC hotel at this price/star level.
Apr 20, 2025 · Subhasish BhattacharyaThis hotel was a lot nicer a few years ago. The location is good, a little south of Times Square but convenient. The beds and linens are fine (think like best western or similar motel), but the mattresses are wrapped in plastic covers (below sheets) that make it feel like you’re in a dorm room. The layout of my king room was horrible. The window went to a courtyard surrounded by other hotel rooms and no natural light, the door opened directly onto the bed which felt unsettling and the fridge froze my beverages and the in room coffee maker didn’t work. The place feels clean, the cleaning staff did a great job. The people working at the desk were great. But the 2 elevators serving floors 2-14 were always met with long lines and took forever to arrive. Overall, it’s over priced for what it is, even in midtown (other options for same price but less janky)
May 12, 2025 · Katy TuckerGreat location, Great Staff. Good stay for 2nights in nyc.At first, I chose this hotel because I saw a good location, but the staff was so kind that I fell in love with it. I've been to many Canadian and American hotels, but I haven't seen any friendly staff like Hana and Jeffry in this hotel. They welcomed us very brightly and tried to give us everything we needed. The room was a little small, but it was clean and crowded with many people in the restaurant, but it was enough for a simple breakfast. Above all, the location is good, so it's convenient to walk around. Once again, I would like to express my gratitude to the kind and affectionate Hana and Jeffrey.
Feb 16, 2025 · jinnee baekThey stole my money and ruined my trip — DO NOT STAY HERE.Worst hotel experience of my life. I booked through Booking.com (who were great), but the hotel refused to let me check in because I’m not 21 — a policy never mentioned during booking. Fine, but then they refused to cancel or refund the $800 I paid. They told me to “talk to Booking,” even though the age rule was their own. Booking tried contacting them multiple times — no response. The one time I got through to someone, they were cold, dismissive, and refused to help.So now I’m out hundreds of dollars for a room I couldn’t use, all because of a policy they enforced — and they won't take responsibility. Avoid this place at all costs. It’s a scam with zero empathy or accountability. Go literally anywhere else.
May 19, 2025 · daniela levshteynGreat location, about 3 blocks from Penn Station. Room on 12th floor. Room and bathroom were small, bathroom very small, but make sense for NYC. Little room for luggage. 2 had two queen beds. Very clean. Window was great, but view of building across the street. Though we were next to elevator, it was pretty quite throughout the visit. We weren’t in the room much, so appreciated a clean place to call home base. Check in was quick and staff were very courteous.Outlets were sufficient for our needs, seems like I could always use more, though. We stayed Friday - Sunday on Memorial Day weekend. Hotel was PACKED. Lots of international folks. The elevators were getting in a work out!Hot Breakfast was included scrambled eggs, turkey sausage. Coffee, juice, tea. Very busy on Saturday and Sunday mornings.I would definitely stay here again and recommend!
