Ace Hotel New York Reviews
Team could not have been nicer, location is convenient. However I agree with previous reviews, the building itself needs a gentle update/polish or the rooms need to be a lower price. Fully realize it’s a historic building and a lot of the vintage character is lovely but the rooms themselves are extremely dark, my bathroom was clean as a whistle (thank you housekeeping!) but lots of chips and moldy caulk- just was not a room I particularly wanted to hang out in and rest between activities. However, I enjoyed it overall and the team- Freddie at the front desk, Benjamin for morning coffee, the lovely bartender who put up with me for my nightcap really leveled it up.
May 23, 2025 · jennifer giaquintoThe hotel is OK, trendy and clean but a bit old in some places, of course small but no problem with that. Just so you know, when you reserve the price ONLY includes the access to a room. You will have to pay a fee of around 40 dollars per night for them to clean and for WiFi which is ridiculous considering the price. This is usually included in other hotels. I stayed in two other hotels in my trip and it was always included. So if you reserve just consider that you will still have to pay them extra. Be careful and don't leave without the receipt.
May 29, 2025 · Andrea EspinosaReally a pleasant experience at the Ace New York. From start to finish staff was accommodating and efficient. Rooms are large, well equipped and quiet. Large TV, comfy bed and couch. Minibar is well stocked and fairly priced. Location is central and within walking distance of shopping, iconic sights and transit. Highly recommend a stay. Will definitely be back.
Apr 17, 2025 · M L"Super centrally located in Manhattan"Wonderful hotel with comfortable beds and spacious rooms by NYC standards. We had a 'medium queen room' which, due to the layout, offered plenty of space. The shower was great as well. The hotel is super central, and while everything is a bit of a walk, it's also just 'around the corner'. Wonderful hotel with very friendly and pleasant staff and a good vibe. I will definitely return here in the future.
May 08, 2025 · Eelco van der VormCharming hotel with excellent service—the housekeeping staff is wonderful and the front desk staff is also great. The bell check was very helpful and cheerful and efficient. Bar staff were pleasant and attentive. Very pleased with service overall. The room was pretty large, especially for midtown Manhattan. Bathroom was quirky, but very clean and well maintained. There was a mini-bar, including the contents of the full-size fridge and a snack bar, that I didn’t take advantage of, but it looked well-stocked.My only complaints were 1)that the mattress on the bed was as hard as a stone. Not unlike sleeping on the floor. Lots of nice pillows though. 2) it was pretty dark in the entire hotel—in the lobby, it felt like a cavern with only dim lighting; in the room at least the window provided some natural light.
